This is a 2.4V, 700mAh Ni-MH rechargeable battery for RCA cordless phone handsets. It fits the 27902, 27909, 27911, 52734, and over 30 additional RCA models that use the same 2-cell Ni-MH pack. Dimensions are 43.55 × 20.42 × 10.60mm — measure your existing pack before ordering if you are unsure.

• Multi-model fit across the RCA cordless range: These handsets share the same 2-cell Ni-MH pack, voltage rail, and contact orientation. No wiring or adapters needed — the connector seats directly into the handset battery compartment.

Talk time shorter than original battery after replacement

NiMH cells ship in a partial-discharge state, so the first two or three cycles will feel shorter than expected — this is normal. Each full charge-discharge cycle allows the crystalline structure inside the cells to stabilise and accept a deeper charge. By cycle three to five, the pack should reach its rated 700mAh capacity. If talk time is still short after five full cycles, check that the handset sits fully seated in the base and that base contacts are clean.

Base station shows no charge or flashes an error light on new battery

A NiMH pack that has sat in storage can drop below the voltage threshold the base station expects before it begins charging. The base interprets this as a fault rather than a discharged cell. Remove the handset, wait 10 seconds, and reseat it firmly — the base should then detect the pack and start a trickle charge. If the error persists, check that the pack voltage reads at least 1.8V across both cells with a multimeter before concluding the pack is faulty.
