Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Uniden 3101 / 3111 / 6030 Series — 2.4V Ni-MH Replacement Battery (BBTG0671011)
This is a 2.4V, 700mAh Ni-MH battery that fits the Uniden 3101 and a range of compatible cordless handsets. It replaces OEM part numbers including BBTG0671011, BT1011, BT-1018, and BT-694. If your handset no longer holds a charge or dies quickly off the base, this is the direct fix.
- 3101, 3111, 6030, and 6031 handset compatibility: These models share the same 2.4V NiMH cell format, connector orientation, and physical footprint. The base station charges through the same contact points, so no adapter or wiring change is needed.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on a Uniden handset base. The BMS accepted charge within the first 30 minutes, and the cell reached stable capacity by the third full cycle.
- First-charge protocol for NiMH cordless handsets: After installing, seat the handset in the base for a full 16 hours before first use. NiMH cells ship partially discharged, and skipping this slow initial charge will reduce the capacity you see in early use — it is not a fault with the battery.
Talk time shorter than expected after replacing the battery
NiMH cells need three to five full charge-discharge cycles before they reach rated capacity. A brand-new cell that ships at low state-of-charge will not deliver full talk time on the first cycle — this is chemistry, not a defect. Each subsequent full charge cycle builds the cell's internal capacity ceiling. By cycle five, most users see talk time consistent with the original battery when it was new.
Base station showing no charge light after battery swap
If the base does not show a charging indicator after you install the new battery, the cell voltage is likely below the base station's acceptance threshold. This happens when a NiMH cell has self-discharged during storage. Remove the handset, wait 10 seconds, and reseat it firmly so the charge contacts are fully engaged. If the light still does not appear, measure the battery voltage — any reading above 1.8V total means the base should accept it; below that, leave it seated for 30 minutes and the trickle circuit will usually recover it.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Uniden handset pairs fine but the battery drains completely overnight even when it's sitting in the base — is the new battery faulty?
This is almost always a seating issue, not a faulty cell. If the handset is not fully clicked into the base cradle, the charge contacts do not make consistent contact and the handset runs on battery in standby all night. Remove the handset, check both charge contacts on the base for debris or corrosion, then reseat the handset until you feel it click. Confirm the charge indicator light activates within a few seconds of reseating.
After swapping the battery my Uniden handset lost its pairing with the base and won't reconnect — what happened?
Some DECT handsets drop their pairing data when power is fully removed during a battery swap. The internal memory that holds the base registration resets when the cell goes flat before or during replacement. To fix it, re-register the handset through the base station menu — on most Uniden models this means pressing and holding the page or find button on the base for five seconds, then following the handset's on-screen pairing prompt. You do not need to replace the battery again.
The range on my Uniden handset is noticeably shorter after I put in the new battery — calls cut out further from the base than before.
Reduced range on a fresh NiMH cell usually means the battery has not yet completed its conditioning cycles. Under RF transmit load, a partially conditioned NiMH pack sags in voltage, which causes the handset's transmit circuit to pull back power. Run three to five full charge-discharge cycles — charging fully on the base and using the handset until it prompts a low battery warning before recharging. After that, measure whether range has recovered; if the issue persists past five cycles, check that the handset antenna contact inside the battery compartment is not bent flat.
