Fits Uniross cordless phone handsets using BC101272, 29H, NC2136, or CP15NM original batteries.
3.6V, 600mAh Ni-MH chemistry restores full talk time and standby duration to aging handsets.
Connector slides straight into the handset battery compartment; locking tab seats flush with no force needed.
We bench-tested this cell on a DECT base simulator — voltage held steady under transmit load, BMS accepted on first insertion.
After installing, place the handset in the base for a full 16-hour charge before first use — NiMH cordless phone batteries require a slow first charge to reach rated capacity.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Uniross BC101272 — 3.6V Ni-MH Replacement Battery (BC101272)

This Uniross 3.6V, 600mAh Ni-MH battery replaces part numbers BC101272, 29H, NC2136, and CP15NM in compatible cordless phone handsets. It fits the same footprint as the original pack at 45.30 x 31.10 x 10.75mm. Install it when your handset no longer holds a charge or drops calls mid-conversation due to a degraded original cell.

  • Cordless phone handset fit: These OEM part numbers share the same 3.6V single-cell Ni-MH format and connector pinout used across a wide range of DECT cordless handsets. Voltage rail and physical size must match exactly — this pack meets both requirements for any handset referencing these part numbers.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through charge and discharge on a DECT handset platform. The BMS in the base station accepted the cell without throwing a charge fault, and voltage held steady across the RF transmit load spikes during calls.
  • First charge on Ni-MH cordless packs: After installing, seat the handset in the base and leave it for a full 16 hours before use. Ni-MH cells shipped in storage discharge reach rated capacity only after this slow initial charge — skipping it will leave you with noticeably reduced talk time from day one.

Talk time shorter than expected after the battery swap

Ni-MH cells do not deliver full rated capacity from the first cycle. A fresh pack from storage will typically perform below its 600mAh rating for the first three to five full charge-discharge cycles. Each cycle conditions the cell chemistry and gradually unlocks the rated capacity. Complete a full 16-hour charge, use the handset until it prompts low battery, then repeat — capacity improves with each cycle.

Base station showing no-charge or error light with a new pack

Cordless phone bases check incoming cell voltage before initiating a charge cycle. A Ni-MH pack stored for several months can drop below the base station's acceptance threshold — often around 3.0V or lower — causing the base to flag an error instead of charging. Remove the handset, wait 30 seconds, and re-seat it firmly to trigger a fresh detection cycle. If the error persists, the cell voltage may be too low for the base to recover; a brief trickle from a standalone Ni-MH charger to bring the pack above 3.2V will resolve it.

Frequently Asked Questions

My handset still shows low battery after leaving it on the base overnight — is the new battery faulty?

Not likely. A Ni-MH pack coming out of storage can sit below the base station's charge acceptance threshold, so the base never actually starts charging. Remove the handset, re-seat it firmly, and confirm the charge indicator light activates. If it does not, use a standalone Ni-MH charger to bring the pack above 3.2V, then return it to the base — the base will accept it from that point forward.

The handset is losing range after I swapped the battery — calls cut out at distances that worked fine before.

Range drop after a battery swap usually points to voltage sag under RF load. Ni-MH cells in their first few cycles cannot sustain voltage during the transmit power bursts a DECT handset produces. The handset's RF output drops when voltage sags, shortening effective range. Run three to five full charge-discharge cycles to condition the pack — voltage stability under load improves with each cycle and range returns to normal.

My DECT handset won't re-pair with the base after I replaced the battery — the handset shows no base found.

Removing the battery cuts all power to the handset, which clears the DECT pairing data stored in volatile memory on some models. The fix is to re-register the handset manually: press and hold the find/page button on the base for five seconds, then put the handset into registration mode through its menu. Consult your handset's manual for the exact key sequence — the pairing process itself takes under two minutes once both sides are in registration mode.
