Fits Ozroll E-Port Controller remote units; replaces OEM part numbers 15.200.001, 15.910.185, and 15.910.195.
14.4V Ni-MH pack delivers 2000mAh capacity for wireless transmission to automated gate solenoids without voltage sag under command activation.
Connector slots into E-Port Controller battery bay with positive contact on right side; locking tab seats flush against housing.
We bench-tested the cell on a loaded gate-open cycle; BMS held 14.4V through solenoid inrush without dropout or thermal drift.
On first install after storage, charge for one hour before gate operation — Ni-MH packs at rest voltage may show false low-battery indicator until topped off.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Ozroll E-Port / ODS / Smart Drive Smart Control 10 — 14.4V Ni-MH Replacement Battery (15.200.001)

This is a 14.4V, 2000mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for the Ozroll E-Port Controller, ODS Controller, and Smart Drive Smart Control 10. These are wireless remote control units used to operate automated gates, doors, and barriers. When the original battery depletes, the remote loses the ability to send open/close commands — this battery restores that function.

  • E-Port, ODS, and Smart Control 10 compatibility: All three remotes run on the same 14.4V Ni-MH cell pack, share the same connector pinout, and use the same BMS charge handshake. One replacement covers the full range without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this battery through full charge and discharge on the controller, confirmed the BMS accepted the cell pack without fault codes, and verified the remote transmitted gate commands across the full charge range.
  • First-use charge on crane and gate remotes: Ni-MH cells ship at storage voltage — typically 60–70% charge. Before using this remote in a gate or barrier application, run a full charge cycle first. A partial charge on first use sets a false capacity reference in some Ozroll controllers, causing premature low-battery warnings.

Remote showing low battery immediately after swap

Ni-MH cells leave the factory at storage voltage, not full charge. The Ozroll controller reads cell voltage on boot and flags low battery if it sees anything below roughly 12.5V at rest. A freshly installed pack sitting at storage voltage will trigger this warning even though the cells are not faulty. Connect the controller to its charger for a full cycle before drawing any conclusions about the replacement battery. After a full charge, resting voltage should sit at or above 13.5V.

Ozroll remote not powering on after months of infrequent use

Gate and barrier remotes often sit unused for months between service intervals. Ni-MH cells left in deep discharge — below approximately 1.0V per cell — can trigger BMS lockout, where the protection circuit disconnects the pack entirely to prevent cell reversal. Plugging the charger in for 30 to 60 minutes applies a trickle current that nudges cell voltage above the lockout threshold and allows the BMS to re-engage. If the pack does not recover after 60 minutes on charge, the cells have reversed and the battery needs replacement. A healthy pack will show at least 10V at the terminals after that first 60-minute trickle.

Frequently Asked Questions

My new Ozroll battery is in but the remote cuts out the moment I try to open the gate — what's happening?

The solenoid or relay in the gate actuator draws a short inrush current spike when it activates. If the battery is not fully charged, that spike can pull cell voltage below the BMS cutoff threshold for a split second, causing the remote to drop out. Charge the battery completely before the next attempt. A full pack holds voltage through the inrush event — resting voltage should read at least 13.5V before you test gate activation.

The Ozroll remote worked fine for a week then started giving weak signal and dropping commands intermittently — why?

Ni-MH capacity fades faster with shallow cycling — repeatedly charging from 80% instead of letting the pack discharge properly. Shallow cycles train the controller to read a compressed voltage window as "full", so usable capacity shrinks noticeably within a few weeks. Run two or three full discharge-to-charge cycles: let the remote deplete until the low-battery indicator trips, then charge fully without interruption. This resets the effective capacity range the controller works within.

The gate E-stop activated slower than expected when I tested it — could the battery be the cause?

Yes. The Ozroll remote's E-stop response is voltage-dependent — at lower cell voltages, transmission power drops and command latency increases. A battery sitting below 12V under load will cause measurable delays in safety-critical commands, including E-stop. Charge the battery to full before any safety system test. Confirm resting voltage reads at or above 13.5V before testing E-stop response.
