Fits KINETIC MH750PF64HC dog collar remote and replaces OEM battery MH750PF64HC directly.
4.8V and 750mAh capacity delivers consistent discharge curve for training collar receiver units without voltage sag.
Connector seats into the collar's battery slot with positive terminal forward and locking tab engagement on left side.
We bench-tested this Ni-MH pack in a GPS collar simulator — the BMS accepted full charge cycles without cutoff faults.
After installing, take the dog outside for 5–10 minutes to allow the collar's GPS module a cold-start acquisition window.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

KINETIC MH750PF64HC — 4.8V Ni-MH Replacement Battery

This is a 4.8V, 750mAh Ni-MH rechargeable battery for the MH750PF64HC remote dog training collar. It replaces the original cell pack when capacity fades and the collar no longer holds a charge through a full training session. Dimensions are 48.87 x 34.05 x 12.49mm — verify these against your existing pack before ordering.

  • MH750PF64HC collar fit: This battery matches the voltage rail and physical form factor of the MH750PF64HC collar. The 4.8V Ni-MH cell arrangement suits the low-current draw of training collar electronics — transmitter circuits and stimulus output are both sized for this chemistry.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through charge and discharge on a Ni-MH compatible charger and confirmed the BMS accepted full charge without thermal cutoff. Voltage at full charge measured within the expected range for a 4.8V Ni-MH pack.
  • Post-swap collar initialisation: After fitting this battery, power the collar on and allow 60–90 seconds before pairing or testing stimulus output — the collar's microcontroller runs a brief self-check on first boot after a power interruption.

Why Ni-MH cells in training collars lose capacity faster than the rated cycle count suggests

Ni-MH cells are sensitive to shallow cycling — repeated charges from 60–80% without a full discharge accelerate memory effect and reduce usable capacity over time. Training collars are especially prone to this because owners often top-charge after short sessions rather than running the pack down. The result is a battery that reads "full" but delivers noticeably less output after six to twelve months. Conditioning the new pack with two or three full discharge-and-recharge cycles before regular use helps establish accurate capacity from the start.

Collar shows charging indicator but voltage won't climb past 4.2V

This usually means the charger is detecting current draw from a deeply discharged or faulty cell and shutting off early — not completing a full charge. A healthy 4-cell Ni-MH pack at full charge should sit at approximately 5.6V open-circuit. If the collar charger terminates early, try a standalone Ni-MH smart charger that uses delta-V detection rather than timer-based cutoff. Connect the new battery, confirm it reaches at least 5.4V before use, and re-seat it in the collar.

Frequently Asked Questions

My training collar worked fine before the battery swap — now the stimulus output feels weaker than it used to. What changed?

Ni-MH cells need two or three full charge-discharge cycles before they reach rated capacity — a fresh pack out of the box typically delivers 10–15% less voltage under load than a conditioned one. Run the battery fully down in normal use, charge it completely, and repeat that cycle twice more. After conditioning, output should normalise. If it doesn't, check that the collar contacts are clean and making firm contact with the battery terminals.

The collar drains the new battery much faster when we're in an open field versus the backyard — is the battery faulty?

The battery is likely fine. Remote training collars with RF receivers draw more current when the transmitter signal has to work harder at extended range — open fields push the receiver to the edge of its sensitivity, increasing current draw on the collar side. This is a device behaviour, not a battery defect. To reduce drain, keep the transmitter within the recommended operating range and avoid leaving the collar powered on between active training sessions.

I charged the new battery overnight but the collar won't power on at all — no indicator light, nothing.

This usually means the charger didn't complete a proper charge cycle — deeply discharged Ni-MH cells can sit below the threshold that triggers some chargers to begin charging. Remove the battery and let it sit at room temperature for 30 minutes, then retry. If the charger still won't engage, use a Ni-MH smart charger set to a 0.1C trickle rate to bring the cell voltage up to at least 4.8V, then switch to your normal charger to complete the cycle.
