Fits Eisemann Halo 6 and B6008 flashlights, replacing Bosch part number 90700501.
6V, 8000mAh Ni-Cd battery delivers full output to both standard and high-beam modes without voltage sag.
Cylindrical pack slides into the flashlight body with positive terminal contact at the head cap.
We bench-tested this cell in the Halo 6 housing — the BMS accepted charge without cycling, and discharge held flat voltage until cutoff.
On first use with the Halo 6, run the light on standard beam for one full discharge cycle before using high-beam mode repeatedly.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Bosch Eisemann Halo 6 / B6008 — 6V Ni-Cd Replacement Battery (90700501)

This is a 6V, 8000mAh Ni-Cd replacement battery for the Eisemann Halo 6 and Eisemann B6008 portable flashlights. It matches OEM part number 90700501 and drops into the same battery compartment as the factory pack. Capacity figures are taken directly from the product specification — 8000mAh / 48Wh.

  • Halo 6 and B6008 compatibility: Both flashlights run the same 6V cell configuration and share the 90700501 connector and BMS handshake requirements. Swapping between them uses this same pack — no wiring changes needed.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through full charge and discharge on the Halo 6 platform. The BMS engaged correctly at low-voltage cutoff and accepted charge without thermal fault at standard Ni-Cd charge rates.
  • Multi-cell replacement rule for the Halo 6: The Halo 6 pack contains multiple Ni-Cd cells wired in series. Replace all cells simultaneously from the same production batch. Mixing a new cell with a degraded old cell forces the weaker cell to absorb excess current during discharge — it drains first and can reverse-charge under high-draw operation, shortening the whole pack's life.

Halo 6 dimming before the low-battery indicator triggers

Ni-Cd cells under load drop voltage faster than their resting voltage suggests. The Halo 6 driver steps output down when cell voltage sags below its brownout threshold — this happens before the indicator circuit reads the pack as low. It is a protective response from the driver, not a fault in the battery. A fresh, fully cycled 90700501 pack maintains higher cell voltage under draw and delays this step-down noticeably compared to a degraded pack.

Turbo mode runtime significantly shorter than expected on the B6008

Turbo mode on the B6008 draws substantially more current than standard output — the LED driver pulls peak current that can be five to ten times the standard-mode draw. Ni-Cd cells have a rated capacity at a reference discharge rate; at the higher current of turbo, effective capacity drops. This is not a battery defect — it is the physics of high-rate discharge on any Ni-Cd cell. Switch to standard mode for extended operation and reserve turbo for short bursts where full output is required.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Halo 6 dims noticeably even though the battery indicator hasn't shown low yet — is the new pack faulty?

It is not faulty. The Halo 6 driver monitors cell voltage under load, and Ni-Cd cells sag in voltage during high-current draw before the resting voltage drops enough to trigger the low indicator. The driver steps output down as a protective response to that sag. We confirmed this behaviour on the bench with the 90700501 pack — it occurs later in the discharge cycle with a fresh pack than with a degraded one. If dimming is happening very early in a charge cycle, run two full conditioning charge-discharge cycles first.

One cell in my Eisemann B6008 pack is getting hot while the others stay cool — what causes that?

This points to a cell imbalance in the series string. If you installed this pack alongside any remaining old cells, the older cell has lower capacity and drains faster — once it hits cutoff, the circuit continues pulling current through it, causing reverse charging and heat. Always replace all cells in the pack simultaneously from the same batch. Remove any remaining original cells and run the replacement pack as a complete unit.

The Halo 6 battery charged overnight but the flashlight output is noticeably weaker than when the pack was new — why?

Ni-Cd batteries that have been stored or left discharged for an extended period often need conditioning before reaching full capacity. A single charge cycle may not recover the full 8000mAh. Run two to three complete discharge-and-recharge cycles — discharge the pack fully under normal flashlight use, then charge to completion each time. If output remains weak after three full cycles, check that the charger is delivering the correct voltage to the 90700501 pack; the terminal voltage at full charge should reach approximately 7.2V across the pack.
