Fits Pelican 3715Z0 LED ATEX 2015 flashlight, replaces OEM part 3765-301-000.
4.8V and 1500mAh Ni-MH delivers consistent voltage to this intrinsically safe torch.
Ni-MH cell pack slides into original battery compartment with no modification required.
We bench-tested this pack on the 3715Z0 driver; voltage held steady across discharge cycles.
On first charge with the Pelican charger, the cell may show lower initial voltage — Ni-MH packs require a full cycle to reach rated capacity after factory storage.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Pelican 3715Z0 LED ATEX 2015 — 4.8V Ni-MH Replacement Battery (3765-301-000)

This is a 4.8V, 1500mAh Ni-MH battery pack for the Pelican 3715Z0 LED ATEX 2015 intrinsically safe flashlight. It also fits the 3760Z0, 3765, and 3765 Right Angle Light. Capacity and voltage match the original Pelican spec exactly — no modifications needed.

  • 3715Z0, 3760Z0, and 3765 series compatibility: These lights share the same 4.8V four-cell Ni-MH pack format and connector pinout. The battery housing dimensions (71.52 x 52.60 x 14.10mm) fit the shared chassis across this ATEX-rated lineup without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through full charge and discharge on the 3765 platform. The cells balanced evenly across all four positions, and the light held full output until the driver stepped down at low-voltage threshold — no premature cutoff.
  • Multi-cell replacement rule for ATEX torches: Replace all four cells simultaneously and always use cells from the same production batch. In hazardous-area flashlights, a single weaker cell creates imbalance under high-current draw — the weak cell inverts polarity first, which shortens pack life faster than normal discharge cycling.

Why the 3765 steps down output before the battery indicator triggers

Ni-MH cells have a gradual voltage curve — they deliver near-full voltage for most of their discharge, then drop sharply at the end. The 3765 driver monitors cell voltage in real time and steps output down before the indicator LED changes state. This protects the cells from deep discharge, which permanently reduces Ni-MH capacity. If the light dims before you expect it, the pack is genuinely near the end of its charge — the indicator is not malfunctioning.

One cell draining faster than the rest after a fresh charge

Mixing a new cell with three older cells forces the weaker cells to work harder during high-current draw, accelerating the imbalance cycle. The newest cell in the pack ends up compensating for the weaker ones and drains disproportionately fast. Over several cycles, the pack loses usable capacity well below the 1500mAh rating. Replace all four cells together — check that all cells read between 1.25V and 1.30V under load before assembling the pack.

Frequently Asked Questions

The 3765 light dims way before the low-battery indicator comes on — is the battery already failing after a few months?

This is normal Ni-MH driver behaviour, not a failing pack. The 3765 driver steps output down when cell voltage drops below a set threshold, which happens before the indicator LED triggers because Ni-MH voltage falls sharply at end of discharge. If the light dims consistently after roughly the same amount of use each charge, the pack is performing correctly. If dimming starts significantly earlier than it used to, run a full charge cycle and check each cell reads at least 1.25V at rest.

One side of my 3765 pack seems to drain faster than the other cells — the light dies unevenly and the cells feel different temperatures after use.

Uneven temperature across cells almost always means one or more cells are working harder to compensate for weaker neighbours — a classic mixed-age cell imbalance. In a four-cell Ni-MH pack under the high-current draw of an ATEX torch, a single weak cell inverts polarity before the others reach cutoff, generating heat and accelerating its own degradation. Replacing only the hot cell makes this worse, not better. Replace all four cells simultaneously from the same batch and verify each cell measures between 1.25V and 1.30V before assembly.

The 3765 light won't come back on after sitting stored for several months, even after a full charge attempt.

Ni-MH cells self-discharge during storage — at room temperature, a fully charged pack can lose 20–30% capacity per month. After extended storage, cells can drop below the voltage threshold where a standard charger will engage, leaving them appearing "dead." Connect the pack to a charger with a conditioning or recovery mode that applies a low trickle current (around 0.1C, approximately 150mA for this 1500mAh pack) to bring cell voltage back above 1.0V per cell before attempting a normal charge cycle.
