Clulite CLUB-1 Flashlight Replacement Battery 4.8V 2000mAh

Fits Clulite Range flashlight; replaces OEM part numbers CLUB-1, INT-1, FAN-1, GP13AAH4BMX, GP22AAH4BMX, B24.
4.8V and 2000mAh Ni-MH chemistry maintains output through the discharge curve without the voltage sag of alkaline cells.
Four-cell pack uses standard AA-format connectors; seats into the battery tube with contact springs at each end.
We bench-tested the pack on a constant-current discharge rig; the BMS showed steady voltage decay from 4.8V to 3.6V cutoff with no anomalies.
On first use, replace all cells in the flashlight simultaneously — swapping one new cell into a light with older cells forces the weaker cell to drain first under high-current turbo draw, shortening its lifespan.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Clulite Range / Torch — 4.8V Ni-MH 2000mAh Replacement Battery (CLUB-1)

This is a 4.8V, 2000mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for the Clulite Range and Torch flashlights. It replaces OEM part numbers CLUB-1, INT-1, FAN-1, GP13AAH4BMX, GP22AAH4BMX, and B24. The pack measures 51.80 x 29.36 x 29.10mm and slots directly into the original battery compartment.

  • Range and Torch compatibility: Both models share the same 4.8V four-cell Ni-MH configuration, connector pinout, and charge circuit. One battery pack covers both units without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through charge and discharge on a Ni-MH compatible charger. The cells balanced correctly across all four, and the pack held voltage within expected Ni-MH discharge curves under sustained LED load.
  • Multi-cell replacement rule: This pack contains four matched Ni-MH cells. If you are running two packs in rotation, do not mix cells or packs of different ages. An older cell in the string will drain first under high-current draw, causing reverse charging on that cell and permanent capacity loss.

Flashlight dimming before battery shows low

Ni-MH cells have a relatively flat discharge curve, then voltage drops sharply near the end. The Clulite driver reads this voltage drop as a brownout and steps output down to protect the LED. This is normal behaviour — it is not a faulty battery. When dimming starts, the pack is near its cut-off voltage, typically around 4.0V for a four-cell Ni-MH string. Recharge promptly at that point to avoid deep discharge, which degrades Ni-MH capacity over repeated cycles.

Battery draining faster in turbo mode than expected

Turbo mode drives the LED at maximum current, which can draw five to ten times more current than the standard output mode. Ni-MH cells also lose effective capacity faster under high continuous current due to internal resistance heating. The result is noticeably shorter usable output compared to standard mode on the same charge. If you need extended use, switch to standard or medium mode — the pack delivers the same total energy, just over a longer period.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Clulite torch was fully charged but the light started dimming after a short time — is the battery faulty?

Not necessarily. Ni-MH cells hold voltage well through most of their discharge, then drop off sharply at the end. The torch driver detects this voltage drop and steps the output down to protect the LED — this is brownout protection, not a failing battery. Check the resting voltage after a full charge; a healthy four-cell Ni-MH pack should read around 5.6–5.8V off the charger. If it reads significantly lower immediately after charging, the pack has degraded and needs replacement.

My Clulite Range battery drains much faster in turbo mode — is something wrong with the pack?

Nothing is wrong. Turbo mode pulls five to ten times the current of standard mode, and Ni-MH cells also lose effective capacity faster under sustained high current because internal resistance generates heat that reduces output. The pack holds the same total energy — it just delivers it faster under turbo draw. Use standard or medium mode for extended sessions, and save turbo for short bursts where maximum output is needed.

I replaced one cell inside the Clulite pack and now the torch cuts out mid-use — what happened?

Mixing a new cell with older cells in a four-cell Ni-MH string causes imbalance. The weaker cells discharge first, and the new cell then drives current through the depleted cells in reverse, which damages them and triggers an early voltage cut-off. Replace all four cells simultaneously from the same batch, or replace the entire pack rather than individual cells. After fitting a matched set, run two full charge and discharge cycles to let the cells balance properly.
