Fits Pelican 9410L rechargeable flashlight; replaces OEM part numbers 9413-301-001, K048, 9413-301-002, 9410-301-001E.
7.4V Li-ion pack at 7500mAh delivers 55.5Wh total energy for sustained LED output across standard and turbo modes.
Single-cell configuration with push-contact terminals; seats flat into the 9410L battery tube with no keyed slot.
Bench testing showed clean BMS handshake on first charge cycle; voltage regulation held steady through discharge without early cutoff.
If the 9410L dims noticeably before the fuel gauge reads low, switch to standard mode — turbo draw causes driver brownout protection to step down output, and reducing current extends usable runtime substantially.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Pelican 9410L LED Lantern — 7.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (9413-301-001)

This is a 7.4V, 7500mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the Pelican 9410L and 9410L LED Lantern. It replaces OEM part numbers 9413-301-001, 9413-301-002, 9410-301-001E, and K048. If your 9410L is no longer holding charge or powering on at full output, this is the direct swap.

  • 9410L and 9410L LED Lantern compatibility: Both variants use the same battery bay, voltage rail, and BMS communication protocol. The connector and physical footprint are identical across the production run, so this battery seats and handshakes correctly in either version.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this battery in a 9410L under full turbo output. The BMS held the discharge curve without early cutoff, and the protection circuit tripped correctly at the rated low-voltage threshold before cell damage could occur.
  • Multi-cell replacement timing: The 9410L battery pack contains two cells wired in series. If one original cell is significantly degraded, do not pair a new pack with an old one. Replace the entire battery as a single unit — mismatched cell states cause the weaker cell to over-discharge under high-current draw, accelerating failure in both.

Why the 9410L steps down output before the battery indicator reads low

The 9410L uses a constant-current LED driver that monitors the voltage rail continuously. When cell voltage starts to sag under high-current draw — even briefly — the driver steps output down to protect both the LEDs and the cells. This can happen while the indicator still shows partial charge because the indicator reads resting voltage, not load voltage. The two readings diverge most in turbo mode, where current draw is highest. Switching to a lower output mode lets the pack recover its resting voltage and extends usable output.

Flashlight not turning on after battery has been stored unused for months

Li-ion cells self-discharge at roughly 1–2% per month under normal storage conditions. If the 9410L sat unused long enough, the cells may have dropped below the BMS's minimum re-initialisation threshold — typically around 2.5V per cell, or 5.0V for a 2S pack. A BMS in this state blocks charge input as a protection measure. Place the battery on the charger for at least 30–60 minutes with no load connected; most BMS circuits will re-initialise once input voltage is detected above the floor. If the charger shows no activity after that window, check that pack voltage at the terminals reads above 4.0V total before assuming cell failure.

Frequently Asked Questions

My 9410L is at full brightness one moment, then suddenly drops to a dim glow — battery still shows charge. What's happening?

This is the LED driver's brownout protection stepping in. Under turbo-mode current draw, the cells sag in voltage even when capacity remains — and the driver reads that sag as a low-voltage event. The battery indicator reads resting voltage, which recovers the moment load drops, so the gauge still looks healthy. Switch the lantern to standard or low mode; the sag disappears and full regulated output returns at the lower setting.

The 9410L runs noticeably shorter in turbo mode than I expected compared to standard mode — is the battery defective?

It's not defective — turbo mode draws roughly 5 to 10 times the current of standard mode. The 9410L's LED driver in turbo pulls the 7500mAh pack down at a much higher C-rate, which also increases internal resistance losses and generates heat in the cells. Both effects reduce usable capacity at that draw level. For extended work, standard mode delivers far more total output from a single charge cycle without any reduction in the pack's rated capacity.

One cell in my old 9410L battery drained much faster than the other — will this happen with a new replacement pack?

That failure mode happens when cells in a series pack are mismatched — either from mixing old and new cells or from one cell degrading faster than the other. The weaker cell hits its low-voltage floor first, and the BMS cuts the pack off while the stronger cell still has charge remaining. With a fresh replacement pack, both cells start at the same state of charge and age together. Never mix this replacement pack with a partially used original cell — always swap the complete unit as one assembly.
