Fits Navman iCN320 and iCN330 GPS navigators; replaces original 3.7V lithium-ion cell.
3.7V 850mAh cell delivers full runtime capacity to the iCN320 portable navigation unit for standard turn-by-turn operation.
Connector slides into original battery slot with standard lithium-ion contact orientation; no locking tab present.
We bench-tested this cell in an iCN320 unit; BMS accepted charge without fault, voltage held steady under navigation load.
After fitting, power the unit fully on outdoors and allow it to acquire a satellite fix before navigation use — GPS performs a cold start after power interruption that takes five to ten minutes for first fix.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Navman iCN320 / iCN330 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This 3.7V 850mAh lithium-ion cell replaces the original battery in the Navman iCN320 and iCN330 portable GPS navigators. These are compact vehicle navigation units — the kind mounted on a windscreen arm for turn-by-turn route guidance. Capacity is 850mAh (3.15Wh), matching the original specification.

  • iCN320 and iCN330 compatibility: Both models share the same battery bay dimensions and 3.7V single-cell architecture. The connector and cell footprint are identical across the two units — 48.51 × 30.44 × 5.48mm — so one cell covers both.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on a GPS navigation unit of this class. The protection circuit handled charge termination cleanly and held voltage above the BMS low-cutoff threshold through full discharge cycles without tripping prematurely.
  • First fix after fitting: After any full power removal, the iCN320 loses its satellite almanac and performs a cold start. Take the unit outdoors with a clear sky view and leave it powered on for five to ten minutes before driving — this lets it rebuild the almanac so subsequent warm starts lock fast.

GPS accuracy reduced when battery charge drops low

Some GPS units dial back receiver sensitivity at low cell voltage to reduce current draw and extend operation. On the iCN320 this shows up as position drift or slower map tracking even when the unit stays powered on. The GPS receiver needs stable voltage — typically above 3.5V — to maintain full sensitivity. Fitting a fresh cell restores receiver performance immediately.

iCN320 shuts off without warning before the battery indicator hits empty

This happens when an aged cell's actual capacity has dropped well below what the fuel gauge expects. The gauge still shows bars remaining, but the cell voltage collapses under the load of the GPS receiver and backlit display, hitting the BMS cutoff threshold before the indicator reaches zero. A new 850mAh cell recalibrates the relationship between displayed charge and actual remaining voltage. After fitting, run one full charge-to-cutoff cycle so the indicator re-anchors to the new cell's voltage curve.

Frequently Asked Questions

My iCN320 lost all my saved routes after I swapped the battery — is that normal?

Yes. The iCN320 stores some route and POI data in RAM that relies on continuous battery power to retain its contents. A full power removal — including battery swap — can wipe that data. Saved favourites stored to internal flash are usually preserved, but active routes and recent destinations in volatile memory are not. Export any critical routes to a PC via the Navman software before removing the battery.

Satellite lock is taking over five minutes on my iCN320 after fitting the new battery — what's happening?

The unit is doing a cold start. When battery power is fully removed, the GPS receiver loses its stored satellite almanac — the map of where each satellite currently sits in the sky. Without that almanac, the receiver has to scan every frequency to find satellites from scratch, which takes five to ten minutes outdoors. Once it completes one successful cold-start fix, it saves the almanac again and subsequent lock times drop back under a minute. Sit stationary with a clear sky view and let the first fix complete without moving the unit.

My iCN320 drains noticeably faster when I'm actively navigating versus just sitting idle — why?

Active navigation runs two high-draw components simultaneously: the GPS receiver continuously recalculating position and the display at full brightness rendering the moving map. Standby or menu screens keep the display dim or off and suspend frequent GPS polling, cutting current draw significantly. Reducing screen brightness in the display settings lowers active navigation drain. At 850mAh capacity this cell matches the original spec — if drain still seems excessive, check that the screen auto-dim setting is enabled.
