Fits Netgear Arlo Pro 3, Arlo Pro 4, and Arlo Go 2 cameras; replaces OEM part A-7a.
3.7V 10400mAh Li-ion cell delivers the voltage and capacity this camera platform needs for continuous motion recording.
Connector slides straight into the battery compartment with a single locking tab on the left side.
We bench-tested this cell in an Arlo Pro 3 unit; the BMS accepted charge without fault codes and discharged stable.
On first install, power cycle the camera once through the app — firmware must register the new cell before motion recording triggers log correctly to cloud.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Netgear Arlo Pro 3 / Pro 4 / Go 2 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (A-7a / A-14)

This 3.7V Li-ion battery replaces the original cell in the Netgear Arlo Pro 3, Arlo Pro 4, Arlo Go 2, and FB1001 wireless security cameras. Capacity is 10400mAh (38.48Wh) — matching or exceeding the factory specification. It fits the magnetic charging door on all listed models without modification.

  • Arlo Pro 3 / Pro 4 / Go 2 platform compatibility: These models share the same cylindrical cell format, 3.7V nominal rail, and magnetic contact charging interface. The BMS on each communicates charge state via voltage threshold — not a fuel gauge IC — so the same cell works across the platform.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on an Arlo Pro 3 unit. The BMS accepted the cell without fault flags, motion recording triggered correctly, and the voltage curve tracked within expected bounds across the discharge range.
  • App registration on first install: After seating the battery, power cycle the camera once through the Arlo app. The firmware must register the new cell before motion-triggered clips log correctly to cloud storage — skipping this step can cause the first few recording events to drop silently.

Camera going offline in the Arlo app after a battery swap

Swapping the battery interrupts power long enough for the camera to drop its session token with the Arlo cloud. The app may show the camera as offline even after the new cell is seated and the charge indicator reads correctly. This is a firmware re-registration issue, not a battery fault. Open the Arlo app, navigate to device settings for the affected camera, and toggle it offline then back online to force a fresh handshake.

App showing 0% or a frozen percentage after install

The Arlo battery indicator reads voltage thresholds — it does not use a fuel gauge IC that tracks charge in real time. When a new cell is installed, the indicator often locks at 0% or displays a stale reading until the firmware samples a stable resting voltage. Charge the battery fully via the magnetic dock until the LED goes solid green, then reinstall it. At that point the camera should read at or above 90% in the app.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Arlo Pro 3 stops recording mid-clip — is the new battery cutting out?

A mid-clip dropout on the Arlo Pro 3 is almost always a BMS trip caused by a WiFi reconnect current spike on a weak signal, not a faulty cell. When the camera struggles to maintain its WiFi link, the processor and radio draw a combined surge that pushes the BMS into protective cutoff. Move the camera closer to the router or add a WiFi extender between them, then check that the signal strength in the Arlo app reads at least two bars before testing recording again.

Motion detection stopped working after I put in the new battery — camera is online but not triggering clips.

The IR LED and image processor together draw a short current spike at the moment a motion event is detected — if the BMS hasn't fully initialised after the swap, it can suppress that spike and kill the trigger before a clip starts. This is separate from the camera being offline. Power cycle the camera through the Arlo app after install so the firmware registers the new cell, then walk through the motion zone and confirm the sensitivity slider in the app is above 50%.

The Arlo solar panel stopped charging this battery after it drained completely overnight.

A fully depleted cell drops below the BMS re-entry voltage — typically around 2.5V for a 3.7V Li-ion cell — and the solar panel's output current is not enough to wake it from that state. The panel needs a minimum input voltage at the charging contacts before it can resume. Remove the battery, charge it to at least 3.0V on the magnetic dock indoors until the LED activates, then reinstall it for the solar panel to take over.
