This is a 3.7V, 500mAh Li-Polymer battery for the SkyBell Trim Plus WiFi Video Doorbell. It replaces OEM part SNO-602535P directly. The Trim Plus is a wired-assist smart doorbell that combines a camera, IR LEDs, and a WiFi radio — all running off this compact 37.00 × 25.10 × 6.00mm cell.
- Trim Plus platform fit: The Trim Plus packages its processor, IR emitters, and WiFi module into one tight assembly. All three share the same cell. Voltage tolerance on this platform is narrow — the BMS will cut power if the cell voltage drifts outside spec, so cell matching matters.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through motion-trigger cycles and sustained IR recording loads. The BMS held cutoff at the correct threshold under both low-draw standby and the combined spike from IR plus WiFi transmission.
- First-install power cycle: After fitting this battery, force a full power cycle through the SkyBell app before relying on motion alerts. The firmware must re-register the cell before motion events log correctly to cloud storage — skipping this step causes silent recording gaps.
Camera going offline in the SkyBell app after battery swap
Swapping the battery clears the active firmware session on the Trim Plus. When power is interrupted, the device loses its authenticated token with the SkyBell cloud. The camera reconnects to WiFi but the app still shows it offline because the session hasn't re-registered. Open the SkyBell app, go to Device Settings, and trigger a soft restart — this forces a fresh handshake and brings the camera back online.
App showing 0% or stuck percentage after installing a new cell
The Trim Plus uses a voltage-threshold indicator, not a fuel-gauge IC. After a new battery goes in, the firmware reads raw cell voltage and maps it to a percentage — but that mapping only calibrates after one full charge-discharge pass. Until then the app can report 0%, 100%, or a frozen number. Run the doorbell through one complete cycle from full charge down to the automatic low-voltage cutoff, then recharge fully, and the percentage display will track correctly from that point.

My SkyBell Trim Plus stops recording partway through a motion clip — what's cutting it off?
Mid-clip dropout on the Trim Plus is usually a BMS trip caused by the WiFi reconnect current spike during weak-signal conditions. When the signal drops briefly, the radio ramps power to re-establish the connection — the combined draw from WiFi, IR LEDs, and the processor briefly exceeds the BMS threshold and cuts the cell. Move your router closer or add a WiFi extender within range of the doorbell, and check that the cell voltage at rest is above 3.5V before ruling out a degraded cell.
The IR night vision kicks on but the camera goes to sleep a few hours after dark — is the battery draining too fast overnight?
Sustained IR LED draw is the highest constant load the Trim Plus puts on this cell, and a degraded original battery often can't hold the voltage rail steady through a full night. The BMS interprets the sag as a low-cell condition and shuts down to protect the cell. With a fresh 500mAh cell at full charge, the voltage should hold above 3.6V through normal overnight IR operation — if it still sleeps, check the doorbell's motion sensitivity setting, as continuous IR with no sleep interval will accelerate discharge on any 500mAh cell.
Motion alerts stopped firing after I replaced the battery, but the live view still works — why?
Live view and motion alerting use different firmware processes on the Trim Plus. Motion detection depends on the IR sensor and the processor logging a trigger event to the cloud — if the firmware session wasn't re-registered after the battery swap, the motion pipeline stays inactive even though the video stream runs fine. Go to Device Settings in the SkyBell app and perform a soft restart to re-register the session, then walk a test pass in front of the doorbell to confirm the alert fires.
