Fits ADT Wireless HD Doorbell Camera models DBC835 and DBC835-V2, replacing OEM part number AHB553436TPCT.
3.7V, 580mAh lithium-polymer cell delivers 2.15Wh for sustained two-way audio and video recording on wireless doorbell hardware.
Connector slides straight into the battery slot; locking tab seats flush with the camera chassis frame.
Bench testing showed the BMS accepted full charge in 90 minutes; voltage regulation held stable through motion-trigger current spikes.
After installation, power cycle the camera once through the ADT app—firmware must register the new cell before motion recording logs correctly to cloud.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

ADT DBC835 / DBC835-V2 Wireless HD Doorbell Camera — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (AHB553436TPCT)

This is a 3.7V, 580mAh lithium-polymer replacement for the ADT Wireless HD Doorbell Camera battery, OEM part AHB553436TPCT. It fits the DBC835 and DBC835-V2 doorbell camera units. Same cell dimensions at 35.20 × 33.80 × 4.50mm — it seats flush with no modification.

  • DBC835 and DBC835-V2 compatibility: Both doorbell revisions share the same battery bay geometry, connector pinout, and 3.7V nominal voltage rail. The BMS handshake is identical across both hardware versions, so the same cell works in either unit without adapters.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through the DBC835 charge circuit and confirmed the BMS accepted the cell at first connection, completed a full charge cycle without thermal event, and held voltage within the expected range across motion-trigger current spikes from the IR LEDs and processor combined draw.
  • First-install power cycle on the DBC835: After fitting the new battery, power cycle the camera once through the ADT app. The firmware must re-register the cell before motion events log correctly to cloud storage — skipping this step can cause the first few motion clips to drop silently.

Camera going offline in the ADT app after battery swap

Swapping the battery clears the camera's active session token, which the ADT app uses to maintain a persistent connection. The camera comes back online at the hardware level, but the app doesn't automatically re-establish that session. Go into the app, remove the doorbell device from your account, then re-add it using the standard pairing flow. Once re-paired, live view and motion alerts restore fully.

App reporting 0% or stuck percentage after installing a fresh cell

The DBC835 uses a voltage-threshold indicator, not a fuel-gauge IC. When a new cell goes in, the indicator reads the resting voltage and maps it to a charge percentage — but the mapping calibrates fully only after one complete charge-discharge cycle. Let the battery drain to the camera's low-battery alert, then charge it fully without interruption. After that first full cycle, the percentage reading in the app tracks accurately against actual cell voltage.

Frequently Asked Questions

My ADT doorbell camera stops recording mid-clip — what's causing that?

Mid-clip dropout on the DBC835 is usually a BMS trip triggered by the current spike when the camera reconnects to WiFi on a weak signal. The processor draws harder to maintain the stream, and if the signal drops momentarily, the reconnect surge can hit the BMS cutoff threshold. Move your router closer or add a WiFi extender within range of the doorbell. If dropout still occurs, check that the battery is reading above 3.5V in the app before recording sessions start.

Night vision stops working after a few hours of darkness — camera is still on but IR LEDs go out.

Sustained IR LED draw overnight pulls more current than the camera needs during daylight motion events, and if the cell voltage sags under that continuous load, the BMS throttles or cuts power to the IR array first to protect the processor. This happens faster on older or degraded cells. A fresh AHB553436TPCT cell at full charge holds the voltage high enough to sustain IR output through the night. If the issue persists with the new cell, confirm the camera is fully charged — IR cutoff begins below approximately 3.6V under load.

Motion detection has stopped triggering even though the camera shows as online — why?

The IR LED and processor fire together on every motion event, and that combined current spike can exceed the BMS trip threshold if the cell is partially discharged. The camera stays online on standby current but won't complete the trigger cycle. This is distinct from a WiFi or app issue — the camera is live but the BMS is blocking the high-draw event. Charge the battery fully and confirm the app percentage updates past 80% before testing motion detection again.
