Unplugging the USB receiver, waiting ten seconds, and replugging it forces a fresh pairing cycle. If that still fails, hold the Connect button on the bottom of the mouse for three seconds while the receiver is plugged in.

The G7's laser sensor runs a tighter polling loop than most office mice, and it draws enough current that a degraded or deeply discharged cell sags below the stable voltage window during tracking.
