Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Logitech MX Keys Mini — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (533-000200)

This is a 3.7V, 1050mAh Li-Polymer battery for the Logitech MX Keys Mini wireless keyboard (model YR0084, 920-010514). It replaces OEM part 533-000200 directly. The MX Keys Mini is a compact backlit keyboard with multi-device Bluetooth pairing, and this battery restores full wireless functionality when the original cell degrades.

  • MX Keys Mini platform fit: The YR0084 and 920-010514 variants share the same 3.7V power rail, connector pinout, and BMS handshake as the original 533-000200 cell. The internal BMS communicates charge state to the keyboard firmware, so a matching voltage and capacity spec is required for the charge indicator to read accurately.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the MX Keys Mini. The BMS accepted the cell without fault flags, the backlight charging LED cycled correctly, and the keyboard reconnected to all three paired Bluetooth devices after the swap.
  • Backlight management after replacement: The MX Keys Mini backlighting is the single largest draw on this battery. After fitting a new cell, set backlight brightness to auto or low in Logi Options+ — leaving it at full brightness permanently will accelerate capacity fade on any Li-Polymer cell, including this one.

Keyboard pairing lost after battery swap

A full power loss — which happens when the old battery is removed — clears the active Bluetooth session on some MX Keys Mini units. The keyboard does not always reconnect automatically. Hold the Bluetooth channel button for three seconds to force re-pairing mode, then reconnect from your device's Bluetooth settings. If the keyboard shows as already paired on the host device, remove it from that device first, then re-pair fresh. Pairing is stored in the keyboard's flash memory, so this is a one-time step after replacement.

Charge indicator stuck at empty after fitting new battery

This happens when the BMS on the new cell initialises at a low state-of-charge from storage and the keyboard firmware reads it as depleted. Plug in via USB-C and allow the battery to charge for at least 30 minutes before checking the indicator in Logi Options+. If the indicator still shows empty after a full charge cycle, check that the connector is fully seated — a partial connection can prevent the BMS from communicating charge state to the keyboard. A correctly seated cell should register above 4.0V at full charge.

Frequently Asked Questions

My MX Keys Mini won't reconnect to any of my devices after I swapped the battery — what's happening?

A full battery removal cuts power completely, which drops the active Bluetooth session on the keyboard. The MX Keys Mini does not always re-establish this automatically. Hold the Bluetooth channel button (top-right key row) for three seconds to enter pairing mode, then reconnect from your host device's Bluetooth settings. If the device shows the keyboard as already paired, delete that pairing first, then re-pair from scratch.

The charge indicator in Logi Options+ is showing full but the keyboard is cutting out — why?

This is a BMS reporting lag. The MX Keys Mini reads battery percentage from the cell's BMS, but after a replacement the BMS calibration can be off until the cell completes one full charge-discharge cycle. Run the keyboard until it triggers a low-battery warning, then charge it fully to 4.2V via USB-C. After one complete cycle, the Logi Options+ percentage readout will track actual capacity accurately.

The new battery is draining much faster than the original did when it was new — is something wrong?

Check your backlight setting first. The MX Keys Mini backlighting at full brightness is the dominant power draw, and it runs continuously unless auto-dimming is active in Logi Options+. If backlight is already on auto, check whether the keyboard is staying connected to all three Bluetooth channels simultaneously — maintaining multiple active connections increases polling frequency and accelerates drain. Set unused channels to disconnected in the software, and drain rate should drop noticeably.
