Fits LawnMaster L10 and L12 mowers, replaces OEM part 18LB2035 and 631001122.
18V lithium-ion pack delivers 3400mAh capacity for sustained blade motor torque on dense turf.
Slide connector locks into the mower's battery slot with indexed alignment — no cross-fit risk.
Bench testing showed stable BMS response under full blade load; no early cutoff at nominal discharge.
Before first spring use, bring the pack indoors overnight if outdoor temps are below 10°C — cold cells spike internal resistance and blade motor inrush current can trip the BMS protection circuit.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

LawnMaster L10 / L12 — 18V Li-ion Replacement Battery (18LB2035)

This is an 18V 3400mAh lithium-ion battery for the LawnMaster L10 and L12 cordless lawn mowers. It replaces OEM part numbers 18LB2035 and 631001122. Swap it in when your original pack no longer drives the blade through a full mow.

  • L10 and L12 compatibility: Both models run the same 18V platform with identical battery connectors and BMS handshake requirements. One pack covers either machine — no wiring differences between the two.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through blade-start inrush cycles on the L10 platform. The BMS handled repeated high-current draw without nuisance trips under normal load conditions across full charge-to-cutoff cycles.
  • Seasonal storage tip: Before the first mow of spring, bring the battery indoors overnight if temperatures are below 10°C. Cold Li-ion cells carry higher internal resistance, and the blade motor's inrush current can trip the BMS on a pack that hasn't warmed to room temperature.

BMS cutoff on thick grass and wet-grass blade load

The LawnMaster L10 blade motor pulls significantly more current through dense or wet grass than across a dry, short lawn. If the BMS reads a current spike beyond its protection threshold — typically triggered by bog-down resistance on the blade — it cuts output to protect the cells. This isn't a fault with the battery; it's the protection circuit doing its job. Slow your mowing pace through heavy patches and let the motor spin freely before engaging thick sections to keep draw within the BMS window.

Charger shows fault light after the mower sat all winter

Li-ion cells self-discharge slowly during storage. After several months in a cold garage, the pack voltage can drop below the charger's minimum acceptance threshold — typically around 10–12V for an 18V pack — and the charger refuses to begin a charge cycle. Some chargers have a trickle recovery mode: leave the pack connected for 10–15 minutes and check whether the fault light clears. If the charger offers no recovery mode and the pack reads below 10V on a multimeter, the cells have likely discharged too far for safe recovery and the pack needs replacing.

Frequently Asked Questions

My LawnMaster L10 cuts out halfway across the lawn then starts again after a minute — what's causing this?

This is thermal protection cutting in, not a faulty battery. The blade motor builds heat under sustained load, and the BMS shuts output when cell temperature exceeds its safe threshold. Allow a five-minute coolback after each cutout, and check that the mower deck vents aren't packed with grass clippings — blocked airflow accelerates heat buildup. If cutouts happen on short, dry grass with a freshly charged pack, the cells may be conditioning during the first three to five cycles, which is normal.

The new battery feels noticeably warmer than my old one did after a mow — is something wrong?

New cells run warmer than aged ones for the first four to five charge-discharge cycles while the chemistry conditions. This is expected and not a sign of a defect. After five full cycles the surface temperature should settle. If the pack is too hot to hold comfortably after a standard mow beyond that break-in period, check that the battery contacts on the mower are clean and seating fully — a poor contact forces higher resistance, which generates excess heat.

The mower feels sluggish on the first few passes of a cold spring morning even with a fully charged battery — is the pack failing?

Li-ion cells lose usable capacity below 10°C because internal resistance rises in cold conditions. The blade motor gets less effective current, so cutting power drops noticeably. This is a chemistry behaviour, not a defect. Bring the battery indoors the night before an early-season mow and let it reach room temperature before fitting it — this restores normal cell resistance and the mower will run at full output from the first pass.
