Fits Robomow RK 1000, RK 2000, and RK 2000 Pro models; replaces OEM part numbers 753-11203, 725-18426, 725-14826, 753-11204, and 725-14827.
18.5V 3200mAh lithium-ion pack delivers 59.2Wh; sufficient capacity for full autonomous mowing cycles on standard residential lawns.
Connector type is proprietary Robomow; pack seats vertically into the top slot with a single locking tab that clicks when seated correctly.
We bench-tested this cell across three full charge-discharge cycles; BMS held steady at 18.5V under blade motor load and showed no premature cutoff.
If the mower cuts out mid-row then restarts after a few minutes, the thermal protection is active — allow a five-minute cooldown before resuming operation.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Robomow RK 1000 / RK 2000 Series — 18.5V Li-ion Replacement Battery (753-11203)

This is an 18.5V 3200mAh (59.2Wh) lithium-ion battery for the Robomow RK 1000, RK 2000, and RK 2000 Pro robotic lawn mowers. It replaces OEM part numbers 753-11203, 753-11204, 725-18426, 725-14826, and 725-14827. Fit the battery into the mower's battery compartment — no tools required.

  • RK 1000 and RK 2000 series fit: All models listed share the same 18.5V battery rail, physical form factor, and BMS handshake protocol. The connector and cell configuration are identical across the RK 1000, RK 2000, and RK 2000 Pro — one battery fits all three.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through full charge and discharge cycles on the RK 1000 platform. The BMS communicated correctly with the mower's charge management circuit, accepted charge without fault codes, and held voltage through simulated blade-load conditions.
  • Seasonal storage tip: Before first use in spring, bring the battery indoors overnight if temperatures are below 10°C. Cold Li-ion cells carry higher internal resistance, and the blade motor's inrush current can trip the BMS on a cold pack before the mower cuts a single row.

BMS cutoff on thick-grass and wet-grass blade load

When the RK 1000 crosses a dense or wet patch, the blade motor draws a short inrush spike — sometimes 2–3× the steady-state current. If the battery's state of charge is below roughly 30%, the BMS sees cell voltage sag past its lower trip threshold and cuts power to protect the cells. The mower stops, then recovers once voltage rebounds. Keeping the pack above 40% charge before long mowing sessions reduces these mid-cycle shutdowns.

Charger shows fault light after mower sat all winter

Robomow chargers reject packs whose cell voltage has dropped below approximately 14V — a threshold built into the charger's acceptance circuit to flag potentially damaged cells. After months in an unheated garage, self-discharge can push the pack below that level. To recover the battery, connect it to the charger and hold the charger's reset button for 10 seconds if that option is present on your unit; alternatively, leave it connected for 30 minutes — many chargers will trickle-charge back up to acceptance voltage before switching to normal charge mode. If cell voltage has fallen below 10V, recovery is unlikely and the pack should be replaced.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Robomow stops halfway through a row, then starts again on its own — what's causing that?

This is thermal protection cutting in. The blade motor generates heat on long runs, and when the pack temperature exceeds the BMS threshold, it interrupts power for a short cooldown — typically around 5 minutes — before allowing the mower to resume. It happens most often on warm days with dense grass. Let the mower sit in a shaded spot for 5 minutes before restarting, and check that the battery vents are clear of grass clippings.

The mower's first run of spring was noticeably shorter than I expected — is the battery faulty?

Not necessarily. Li-ion cells lose usable capacity when cold — at temperatures below 10°C, internal resistance rises and the BMS pulls the pack offline at a higher residual voltage to protect the cells. The result looks like reduced capacity but is a normal electrochemical response to low temperatures. Bring the battery indoors overnight before the first spring run, and retest once the pack reaches room temperature before concluding it needs replacement.

This replacement battery runs warmer than my original did for the first few uses — is that normal?

Yes — new cells go through a conditioning period over the first 3 to 5 full charge and discharge cycles. During this period, internal resistance is slightly higher than it will be once the electrolyte fully wets the electrodes, which produces a little extra heat. Surface temperature should stabilise by cycle 5. If the pack is still noticeably hot to the touch after 5 full cycles, check that the battery compartment cover seats fully and that no grass debris is blocking airflow around the pack.
