Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Getinge OP Table 1160 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (0000022019)
This 3.7V 1800mAh Li-ion battery fits the Getinge OP Table 1160 surgical operating table. It powers the motorized positioning and control systems that drive height and angle adjustments during procedures. OEM part numbers 0000022019 and 2270503 both cross to this cell.
- OP Table 1160 platform fit: The 1160 uses a single-cell 3.7V Li-ion pack to back up its control board during power transitions. The connector pinout and BMS handshake are specific to this table series — other Getinge table batteries do not share this form factor or cell interface.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through the OP Table 1160's control board and confirmed the BMS accepted the new cell without throwing a fault code. Charge acceptance was consistent across three full cycles, and the protection circuit tripped correctly at the low-voltage cutoff threshold.
- Post-installation self-test protocol: After fitting this battery, allow the table's power-on self-test to complete without interrupting power. The control board runs a BMS verification sequence at startup — cutting power mid-sequence registers a false battery fault that does not clear until the next full cold reboot.
Why the OP Table 1160 control board rejects a new cell on first boot
The 1160's BMS compares the new cell's resting voltage against a minimum acceptance threshold before authorising operation. A cell that has self-discharged during storage may sit below that threshold even if it reads above zero volts on a multimeter. The board interprets this as a failed or incompatible pack and blocks normal startup. Connecting the table to mains power for 15–20 minutes before powering on allows the charge IC to bring the cell up past the BMS acceptance floor.
Charge indicator stalls below 100% after battery swap
On the first charge cycle, the OP Table 1160's charge IC applies a conservative current limit to an uncharacterised cell — this is normal behaviour, not a faulty battery. The indicator stalls because the IC is holding at a reduced top-off rate until the cell's internal resistance profile is logged. Run one complete charge-to-discharge-to-charge cycle and the IC recalibrates. After that cycle, the indicator should reach full charge without stalling, with the cell voltage settling at approximately 4.2V at full capacity.

Frequently Asked Questions
The OP Table 1160 is alarming low battery immediately after we pulled it off a full charge — is the new battery faulty?
It is not faulty. The table's BMS uses a voltage-based threshold calibrated to the OEM cell's chemistry signature, and a brand-new replacement cell has not yet completed a learn cycle. The alarm triggers because the control board has not yet verified the cell's charge curve. Run one complete charge-discharge cycle without interrupting the self-test sequence, and the alarm should clear on the next startup.
The OP Table 1160 will not power on at all after the battery was in storage — the table just stays dark.
A Li-ion cell that has self-discharged below approximately 2.5V will trip the BMS into deep-discharge lockout, and the table's control board cannot initialise from that state. Connect the table to mains supply and leave it on charge for at least 20 minutes before attempting to power on — this gives the charge IC time to trickle the cell back above the BMS recovery threshold. Once the cell clears 3.0V, the board should resume normal boot.
The table shut off unexpectedly mid-procedure on a new battery — this has happened twice in the first week.
New Li-ion cells have slightly elevated internal resistance in the first 10 cycles, and the OP Table 1160's positioning motors draw a sharp current spike during movement commands. That spike causes a brief voltage sag that the BMS reads as an undervoltage event and responds by cutting output. The issue self-resolves as the cell conditions through its early cycles. To reduce trips in the interim, avoid commanding rapid consecutive positioning adjustments until the cell has completed at least five full charge-discharge cycles.
