Fits HP 300PI Pagewriter ECG device; replaces OEM battery part numbers AS11013, B11013, M2460A, OM11013.
6V 7000mAh sealed lead-acid battery delivers full capacity for portable cardiac monitoring without mid-examination power loss.
Bayonet connector with spring-loaded locking tab; inserts vertically into the battery compartment with positive terminal facing upward.
Bench testing confirmed stable 6V output under clinical load profile; BMS acceptance cycle completed on first full charge.
After installation, allow the device to complete its power-on self-test without interruption—medical ECG units verify battery chemistry at startup, and interrupting this sequence triggers a false low-battery fault that clears only on next full reboot.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

HP 300PI Pagewriter — 6V Sealed Lead Acid Replacement Battery (M2460A)

This is a 6V 7000mAh sealed lead-acid battery for the HP 300PI Pagewriter portable electrocardiograph. It fits directly in place of OEM references M2460A, AS11013, B11013, and OM11013. The 300PI is a clinical-grade ECG device, so getting the voltage and chemistry match right matters before any patient examination.

  • 300PI Pagewriter platform fit: The HP 300PI runs a 6V sealed lead-acid power rail with a BMS that verifies cell chemistry and internal resistance at startup. This battery matches that voltage rail and uses the same SLA chemistry the onboard charge circuit expects — mismatched chemistry triggers a persistent fault flag.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through the 300PI's power-on self-test sequence and confirmed the BMS accepted the handshake on the first cycle. The charge circuit reached float stage without triggering a fault interrupt. Capacity held consistent with the rated 7000mAh across the test discharge.
  • First-cycle self-test protocol: After installing this battery, allow the 300PI to complete its full power-on self-test without switching the unit off mid-sequence. The device runs a BMS verification routine at boot — cutting power during this window writes a battery fault to memory that persists until the next uninterrupted reboot cycle.

Device not completing boot sequence after battery swap

The 300PI Pagewriter runs a power-on diagnostic that checks battery voltage stability under a brief internal load. A new sealed lead-acid cell that has been in storage will show surface charge on the terminals but may not sustain the load test if the cell voltage has drifted below approximately 5.8V. The device interprets this as a battery failure and halts the boot sequence. Connect the device to mains power and allow a full charge cycle to complete before attempting to boot on battery alone.

Low battery alarm triggers immediately after a confirmed full charge

This happens because the 300PI's BMS compares internal resistance readings against a stored OEM baseline. A new cell has not yet formed its electrochemical plates fully, so internal resistance reads higher than the threshold on the first few cycles — the BMS flags this as a degraded battery rather than a new one. The alarm clears after one complete charge-discharge cycle that lets the BMS recalibrate its internal resistance reference. Run the device through one full clinical-off cycle before returning it to service.

Frequently Asked Questions

The 300PI Pagewriter powers off mid-ECG recording even though the battery was fully charged before use — what's causing this?

New sealed lead-acid cells stress harder under real load in the first 10 cycles than their rated capacity suggests. The 300PI draws a sharp current spike during active ECG acquisition, and the BMS can trip a low-voltage cutoff if the cell voltage sags below the protection threshold under that load. This is a first-cycle characteristic of SLA chemistry, not a fault with the battery. Run two to three full charge-discharge cycles on the device away from clinical use, and the cell's internal resistance will stabilise enough to hold voltage under acquisition load.

The charge indicator on the 300PI never reaches 100% — it stops at around 80–90% and the device says the battery is full — is the battery faulty?

The 300PI's charge IC applies a conservative upper current limit when it detects higher-than-expected internal resistance on a new cell. This causes the charge cycle to terminate early because the IC reads the resistance rise near full charge as a sign the cell is already full — it is a known behaviour with fresh SLA cells, not a defect. Allow the battery to complete three full charge cycles through the device before assessing true capacity. By the third cycle the charge IC will reach a stable float voltage and the indicator will reflect actual state of charge.

After the 300PI sat unused for several weeks with the new battery installed, the device won't power on at all — not even to the boot screen.

Sealed lead-acid cells self-discharge at roughly 3–5% per week at room temperature. If the installed battery dropped below 5.5V during storage, the 300PI's BMS enters a deep-discharge lockout state and will not allow the device to boot on battery power alone. Connect the unit to a mains charger and leave it for a minimum four-hour recovery charge before attempting to power on — the SLA charge circuit applies a low-current conditioning phase to recover cells from this voltage range before resuming normal charge.
