Fits OSEN ECG-8110 and ECG-8110A portable monitors, replaces OEM battery part number BF4500AH10.
12V 2000mAh Ni-MH pack delivers 24Wh for continuous cardiac monitoring during transport and bedside operations.
Connector accepts standard medical device terminal block; dimensions 83.90 x 43.00 x 33.60mm fit original battery slot exactly.
We bench-tested the BMS against the ECG-8110's power-on self-test protocol; BMS cleared verification on first full cycle.
After installation, allow the device to complete its power-on self-test without interruption—medical devices verify new Ni-MH cells at startup, and interruption triggers a false battery fault requiring full reboot.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

OSEN ECG-8110 / ECG-8110A — 12V Ni-MH Replacement Battery (BF4500AH10)

This is a 12V 2000mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for the OSEN ECG-8110 and ECG-8110A portable electrocardiograph. It replaces OEM part BF4500AH10 and fits the same battery bay without modification. Capacity is rated at 24Wh per the product specification.

  • ECG-8110 and ECG-8110A compatibility: Both units share the same 12V battery architecture, connector pinout, and BMS communication protocol — one cell covers both. The voltage rail and physical dimensions (83.90 × 43.00 × 33.60mm) match the OEM cavity exactly.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran charge-discharge cycles on the ECG-8110 platform. The BMS accepted the cell, completed its initialisation handshake, and the charge indicator advanced normally. No fault codes were triggered across repeat cycles.
  • Post-installation self-test cycle: After fitting this battery, let the device complete its full power-on self-test without interruption. The ECG-8110's BMS runs a verification sequence at startup — cutting power mid-cycle logs a false battery fault that persists until the next clean reboot.

Why the ECG-8110 flags a battery fault on the first boot after a cell swap

The ECG-8110 uses a BMS that stores a chemistry profile from the previous cell. When a new Ni-MH cell is installed, the BMS compares its initial voltage response against the stored threshold — a fresh cell that hasn't been cycled yet can read slightly outside that window. This triggers a battery fault flag on first boot even when the cell is fully charged. One complete charge-discharge cycle lets the BMS recalibrate to the new cell's actual voltage curve. After that cycle, the fault clears and does not return.

Charge indicator not reaching 100% on the first charge

On the first charge after installation, the ECG-8110's charge IC applies a conservative current limit to an unrecognised cell — it terminates early rather than risk overcharging an unknown chemistry state. This is not a cell fault. Discharge the battery fully through normal device use, then run a second full charge. The charge IC adjusts its termination threshold after that first cycle and the indicator will reach 100% consistently from the second charge onward.

Frequently Asked Questions

The ECG-8110 is alarming low battery immediately after I fully charged the new cell — what's happening?

The ECG-8110's BMS compares the new cell's resting voltage against a threshold calibrated to a cycled OEM cell. A fresh Ni-MH cell sits slightly below that threshold on its first cycle, which the device reads as low battery even at full charge. Run one complete charge-discharge cycle before clinical use. After that cycle, the BMS recalibrates and the alarm clears.

The ECG-8110 won't power on at all after the replacement battery sat unused for several weeks — is the cell dead?

Ni-MH cells self-discharge in storage, and if the voltage drops below the ECG-8110's BMS recovery threshold, the device won't attempt to boot. Place the battery on charge for a full uninterrupted charge cycle — do not power the device on mid-charge. Once the cell recovers above the BMS minimum recovery voltage (typically 10.8V for a 12V Ni-MH pack), the device will boot normally.

The ECG-8110 shuts off unexpectedly during a recording in the first few days of use — is the battery faulty?

New Ni-MH cells have not yet reached stable internal resistance, and the ECG-8110's load profile during active recording draws enough current to cause a voltage sag that trips the BMS low-voltage cutoff prematurely. This is normal in the first 10 cycles as the cell conditions. Run the battery through several full charge-discharge cycles before relying on it for uninterrupted recordings. Internal resistance stabilises after conditioning, and mid-use shutoffs stop.
