Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

4G Systems XSBox GO+ — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (LB2600-01)

This 3.7V Li-ion battery carries 3400mAh (12.58Wh) and is a direct fit for the 4G Systems XSBox GO+ portable mobile hotspot. It replaces OEM part LB2600-01 when the original cell no longer holds a useful charge. The XSBox GO+ runs a combined cellular modem and Wi-Fi radio load — this battery is sized to meet that dual draw.

  • XSBox GO+ fit: The LB2600-01 footprint is 65.00 × 42.60 × 11.76mm. The connector pinout and BMS voltage thresholds match the GO+ charge controller, so the device recognises the cell and reports charge level accurately.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through full charge cycles while the hotspot was connected to six active client devices. The BMS held the low-voltage cutoff correctly and did not trip under the combined modem and radio load.
  • Ventilation during extended sessions: Keep the XSBox GO+ in an open, ventilated spot — not a pocket or closed bag. When client devices are far from the hotspot, the cellular radio runs at maximum transmit power, which raises internal temperature and accelerates cell wear over time.

Voltage sag when the XSBox GO+ is at maximum client connections

The XSBox GO+ draws from two power-hungry subsystems simultaneously — the cellular modem and the Wi-Fi radio. At maximum client connections, both run near peak current draw at the same time. An aged or partially degraded cell cannot sustain the voltage rail under this combined load, and the device either reboots or drops clients. A fresh 3400mAh cell at 3.7V nominal restores the headroom needed to handle peak load without the voltage rail collapsing.

XSBox GO+ won't power on after sitting unused for several weeks

Li-ion cells self-discharge slowly during storage. If the GO+ sat unused long enough, the cell voltage may have dropped below the minimum boot threshold — typically around 3.0V for this class of device. The charge controller will not start a charge cycle if the cell is too far below that floor. Connect the hotspot to a charger and leave it for at least 20–30 minutes before attempting to power on; if the indicator light never appears, the cell has dropped below recovery voltage and needs replacing.

Frequently Asked Questions

My XSBox GO+ keeps dropping all connected devices mid-session even though the battery shows plenty of charge — what's causing it?

This is a voltage sag issue, not a capacity issue. Under maximum client load, the cellular modem and Wi-Fi radio draw peak current simultaneously, and a degraded cell cannot hold the voltage rail steady even if the charge indicator still reads mid-range. The device interprets the voltage dip as a fault and resets the connection stack. Replace the battery and retest with the same number of connected clients — the drop-outs will stop if the cell was the cause.

The XSBox GO+ battery drains noticeably faster when I'm in an area with poor cellular signal — is something wrong with the battery?

Nothing is wrong with the battery. In a weak signal area, the cellular modem increases transmit power to maintain the network link, which significantly raises current draw from the cell. The stronger the radio has to work, the faster the battery depletes — this is normal behaviour for any hotspot, not a cell defect. Move to a better signal area or reduce the number of connected client devices to lower the total radio load.

The XSBox GO+ powers on fine but the battery percentage jumps around — it reads 60%, then drops to 20% in minutes, then jumps back up.

Erratic state-of-charge readings usually mean the cell's internal resistance has risen — the battery management system is estimating charge level from voltage, and a high-resistance cell gives misleading voltage readings under load. This causes the reported percentage to spike and crash as current draw changes. The fix is a full replacement: install the new LB2600-01 cell, run it down to the automatic cutoff once, then charge it fully to let the BMS recalibrate its capacity estimate.
