Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

ZTE AR910 Series — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (Li3727T42P3h665678)
This 3.7V, 2900mAh Li-ion battery replaces the OEM cell in the ZTE AR910, AR910-A, and AR910-B portable WiFi hotspot. It matches the original connector pinout and BMS handshake, so the device recognises the pack and reports charge level correctly. Dimensions are 65.90 × 55.45 × 7.85mm — verify these against your existing cell before fitting.
- AR910, AR910-A, AR910-B compatibility: All three variants share the same battery bay, connector, and 3.7V power rail. The BMS on each model uses the same authentication protocol, so one cell works across the range without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack under simultaneous modem and WiFi radio load — the BMS held voltage at the rated 3.7V nominal and cut off cleanly at the low-voltage threshold without triggering a mid-session shutdown.
- Ventilation during extended hotspot sessions: When the AR910 is connecting devices at maximum range, the cellular radio runs at full transmit power. Keep the hotspot on a hard, flat surface with airflow underneath — trapping heat against the battery accelerates cell wear faster than normal charge cycling does.
Why the AR910 drops connected devices mid-session under heavy load
The AR910 runs two radios simultaneously — the cellular modem and the WiFi access point. At maximum connections, combined current draw spikes sharply, which can pull cell voltage below the BMS protection threshold for a fraction of a second. The BMS interprets this as a fault and cuts output, dropping every connected device. A worn cell with higher internal resistance makes this worse because voltage sag is proportionally greater. A fresh cell with lower internal resistance reduces the sag amplitude and keeps the BMS from tripping.
AR910 shows full charge but shuts off within minutes of unplugging
This is cell memory corruption from shallow cycling — the BMS has lost accurate track of actual capacity and reports 100% against a much smaller usable window. The fix is a full discharge to the device's automatic cutoff, then a complete charge to 4.2V without interruption. If the original cell still does this after two full cycles, the cell has degraded past recovery and replacement is the correct next step.

Frequently Asked Questions
My AR910 hotspot won't power on at all after sitting unused for a few months — is the battery dead?
Extended storage without a top-up charge will drain a Li-ion cell below the minimum boot voltage the AR910 needs to initialise — typically around 3.0V. The device won't power on because the BMS blocks output to protect the cell from deep-discharge damage. Connect the hotspot to the original charger and leave it for at least 30 minutes before attempting to power on; if it still won't boot, the cell has dropped below the BMS recovery threshold and needs replacing.
The AR910 battery drains noticeably faster when I'm in a weak signal area — is the battery faulty?
The battery is behaving correctly. In poor signal conditions, the AR910's cellular modem increases transmit power to maintain the network connection, which draws significantly more current from the cell than it does at full signal strength. Add multiple connected devices to that equation and total draw can approach the cell's rated discharge limit continuously. Move the hotspot closer to a window or elevated position to improve signal — that alone reduces modem output power and extends usable charge per cycle.
The AR910 restarts randomly during heavy use even though the battery indicator shows 40–60% remaining.
A mid-charge restart is almost always a voltage sag event, not a capacity issue. Under peak combined radio load, the cell voltage dips sharply; if the sag crosses the BMS undervoltage trip point, the pack cuts output and the device resets — even though average charge appears healthy. This happens more often as the cell ages and internal resistance climbs. Replace the cell and confirm the restart stops; if it continues, the fault is in the device's power management circuit, not the battery.
