Fits Aligator A800, A850, A800 Senior phones; replaces OEM part A800BAL.
3.7V, 1700mAh lithium-ion cell restores full talk and standby time on aged packs.
Connector slides straight into the battery slot; no tabs or keyed orientation required.
We ran discharge cycles on a fresh A800 unit — BMS accepted the cell cleanly with no early cutoff.
On first charge after installation, disable fast charging for one full discharge-charge cycle to let the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell discharge curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Aligator A800 / A850 Series — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (A800BAL)

This is a 3.7V, 1700mAh Li-ion cell built to fit the Aligator A800, A850, A800 Senior, and AZ01302 smartphones. It replaces the original A800BAL pack when capacity has dropped or the cell no longer holds a charge. Voltage and connector match the OEM spec — no modifications needed.

  • A800 / A850 platform fit: These models share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. A single cell — 66.20 × 44.00 × 5.10mm — covers the entire family without adapter changes or wiring modifications.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge passes on the A800 platform. The BMS accepted the charge handshake on the first connection, held voltage above the modem-load threshold, and triggered protection cutoff correctly at the low-voltage limit.
  • First-cycle calibration on the A800 Senior: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-charge cycle at standard rate. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes current into an uncalibrated state — particularly important on the A800 Senior, which uses a simplified charge UI that hides calibration warnings.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the A800 replacement cell

This happens when the fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve. The new cell hits a voltage cliff under modem or screen load that the gauge didn't predict, so the phone cuts power before the displayed percentage reaches zero. The fix is a full uninterrupted discharge-charge cycle with the screen kept active — this forces the coulomb counter to reset its endpoint reference. After one full cycle, shutdowns at 20–30% stop in most cases.

Phone won't power on after the replacement cell sat in storage

Li-ion cells self-discharge during storage. If the voltage drops below approximately 2.5V per cell, the BMS enters lockout mode and blocks all charge input as a safety measure. The phone appears completely dead — no charge indicator, no vibration on cable connection. Connect to a wall adapter rated at 5V/1A or higher and leave it for 15–20 minutes without pressing the power button. The BMS needs sustained trickle current to exit lockout before the phone will respond.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Aligator A800 shuts off randomly around 25% battery — why does this happen with a new cell?

The phone's fuel gauge IC was calibrated to the discharge curve of the old, degraded cell. The new 1700mAh cell has a different voltage-to-capacity profile, so the gauge misjudges the remaining charge and the phone cuts out when voltage sags under modem load — well before the display hits zero. Run one full discharge-charge cycle at standard charge rate with screen-on to force the coulomb counter to recalibrate against the new cell. After that cycle, random shutdowns at 20–30% typically stop.

Fast charging stopped working after fitting the replacement A800BAL — is the charger the problem?

The charger is usually fine. On the first cycle after a cell swap, the BMS on the new cell can reject the elevated charge rate until it completes one handshake with the phone's charge IC at standard current. Plug in using a standard 5V/1A adapter and complete one full charge without switching cables. After that initial cycle, reconnect your fast charger — the BMS handshake should accept the higher current rate normally from that point forward.

The battery percentage jumps erratically on my A800 — goes from 60% to 40% in minutes then back up.

Erratic percentage jumps mean the fuel gauge IC's reference model no longer matches the cell it's measuring — common after a cell replacement because the IC is still using the old cell's stored discharge data. The fix is a slow, uninterrupted full discharge down to automatic shutdown, followed immediately by a full charge to 100% with the phone left idle. This gives the coulomb counter a clean start and end point to rebuild its model. After two full cycles this way, percentage readings stabilise.
