Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

BLU Energy X Plus — 3.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (C826604400L)
This 3.8V, 2900mAh Li-Polymer cell replaces the OEM battery in the BLU Energy X Plus (E030US) and Energy X (E010Q). It restores power capacity when the original cell has degraded, swells, or no longer holds a charge. Voltage and capacity match the factory specification exactly.
- Energy X and E010Q compatibility: The Energy X Plus (E030US) and Energy X (E010Q) share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and 3.8V nominal voltage rail. Both handsets use the same charge IC and BMS handshake logic, so one cell fits both platforms without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through a full charge cycle on the Energy X Plus and confirmed the BMS accepted the new cell without fault flags. Charge IC communication logged cleanly at each state-of-charge threshold with no voltage reporting errors on the first completed cycle.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-to-charge cycle. This allows the fuel gauge IC to map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging begins — preventing coulomb counter drift from day one.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Energy X Plus after a cell swap
This happens because the fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve. When the new cell hits a voltage cliff under modem or screen load — typically around 3.5V — the phone cuts out even though the reported percentage says 20–30%. The OS has not yet mapped where the new cell's voltage drops steeply. One full discharge from 100% to automatic shutdown, followed by a complete charge, resets the coulomb counter and aligns the percentage reporting to the actual cell curve.
Phone warm near the battery during the first two charge sessions
A new Li-Polymer cell has higher internal impedance than a broken-in cell. The charge IC on the Energy X Plus pushes current into this higher-impedance cell, generating slightly more heat than normal at the battery contact area during CC phase. This is expected and typically resolves after two to three full cycles as internal impedance settles. If the phone stays warm past the CV taper phase or shows a charge fault, check that the replacement cell's connector is fully seated — a loose pin raises contact resistance further.

Frequently Asked Questions
My BLU Energy X Plus shuts off at around 25% after I put in the new battery — is the cell faulty?
The cell is almost certainly fine. The fuel gauge IC inside the phone learned the old battery's discharge curve over months of use, and that calibration does not reset automatically when you swap cells. When the new cell's voltage drops sharply under load — modem, screen, GPS — the phone cuts power even though the percentage still reads 20–30%. Run one full discharge to automatic shutdown and then charge uninterrupted to 100%; the coulomb counter will remap to the new cell and the shutdowns will stop.
The BLU Energy X Plus won't power on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months before I installed it — what's happening?
Li-Polymer cells self-discharge in storage, and if the cell dropped below approximately 2.5V per cell, the BMS has entered a lockout state to prevent damage. Plug the phone into a wall charger — not a PC USB port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC will apply a trickle pre-charge to bring the cell above the BMS recovery threshold, after which the phone should power on and continue charging normally. If the charge LED never lights after 30 minutes, the cell has discharged past recovery and will need to be replaced.
Fast charging stopped working on my Energy X Plus right after I installed this battery — it only charges slowly now.
On the first cycle after a cell swap, the phone's charge controller sometimes falls back to standard 5V charging because the USB-PD or proprietary fast-charge handshake is renegotiated against an unfamiliar BMS signature. Complete one full standard charge cycle first. On the second cycle, fast charging typically resumes once the charge IC has confirmed the new cell's impedance profile is within the expected window. If fast charging still does not engage after two full cycles, verify the charger and cable — the Energy X Plus requires a charger that correctly signals the fast-charge voltage, and a worn cable can drop the negotiation voltage below the threshold.
