Fits BOWAY U11 smartphone, replaces OEM battery part number BP-401B.
3.8V and 2900mAh Li-Polymer cell restores full charge cycles on devices showing reduced runtime or sudden shutdowns from age-worn original packs.
Connector aligns flat into the U11 battery slot with no locking tab; reseat firmly until the contact plate sits flush against the device frame.
We bench-tested the BMS on a fresh U11 unit—cell accepted charge current without fault codes, voltage curve tracked clean through full discharge with no cliff.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle so the fuel gauge IC recalibrates against the new cell discharge curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

BOWAY U11 — 3.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (BP-401B)

This is a 3.8V, 2900mAh Li-Polymer battery for the BOWAY U11 smartphone. It replaces part number BP-401B. Fit this when the original cell no longer holds charge or the phone shuts down unexpectedly under load.

  • BOWAY U11 fitment: The U11 uses a fixed voltage rail at 3.8V with a dedicated connector keyed to the BP-401B footprint. The BMS on this unit communicates charge state back to the system-on-chip — mismatched cells break that handshake and cause false low-battery shutdowns.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on U11 hardware. The BMS accepted the charge curve without tripping overcurrent protection, and the fuel gauge IC tracked state-of-charge within normal variance after the first full cycle.
  • First-cycle fuel gauge reset: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-charge cycle from 100% down to auto-shutdown and back to full. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging is applied to an uncalibrated cell.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on a new cell

A fresh Li-Polymer cell has a steeper voltage cliff than an aged one. The U11's fuel gauge IC is calibrated to the original cell's discharge curve, so when the new cell's voltage drops sharply under modem or screen load, the IC reads it as a hard cutoff even though percentage still shows 20–30%. One full discharge-charge cycle forces the coulomb counter to re-anchor its low-voltage threshold to the new cell. After that cycle, the phone should track remaining charge accurately down to shutdown.

Phone won't power on after the battery sat in storage

Li-Polymer cells self-discharge in storage. If the cell drops below approximately 2.5V, the BMS enters lockout mode to prevent damage and blocks normal boot. Plug the U11 into a wall charger — not a PC USB port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button. A wall adapter supplies enough trickle current to push the cell back above the 2.5V threshold and release the BMS lockout. Once the charge indicator appears on screen, the battery is accepting current normally.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does my BOWAY U11 show 25% battery and then just die with no warning?

The fuel gauge IC in the U11 is calibrated to the original cell's discharge curve. A new Li-Polymer cell has a different voltage profile, so the IC misjudges where the cutoff actually falls and the phone shuts down before the percentage reaches zero. Run one full discharge from 100% down to auto-shutdown, then charge to 100% without interruption. After that single cycle, the coulomb counter re-anchors to the new cell and the percentage should track accurately.

Fast charging stopped working after I installed the replacement battery — what's wrong?

On the first charge cycle, the U11's charge controller validates the BMS handshake before enabling high-current fast charging. A new cell sometimes fails that handshake on the first attempt and the system falls back to standard 5V charging as a precaution. Drain the battery to auto-shutdown and do a full slow charge to 100% — this completes the initialisation sequence. Fast charging typically resumes on the following charge cycle once the BMS has been accepted by the charge IC.

The battery percentage on my BOWAY U11 keeps jumping around erratically after replacement — is the battery faulty?

Erratic percentage readings almost always mean the fuel gauge IC is recalibrating against an unfamiliar cell — not a faulty battery. The IC uses stored data from the old cell's charge history, and that data no longer matches the new cell's impedance and capacity. Do two complete discharge-charge cycles: drain to auto-shutdown, charge uninterrupted to 100%, repeat once more. By the end of the second cycle the fuel gauge should stabilise and report charge state consistently.
