This is a 3.85V 2700mAh Li-Polymer cell sourced to match OEM part BL-N2700B. It fits the GIONEE F205 and F205L smartphones. Voltage, connector pitch, and physical dimensions (74.40 × 60.08 × 3.60mm) match the original battery bay.

• F205 and F205L compatibility: Both models run the same voltage rail and use the same flex-ribbon connector with identical BMS handshake requirements. One cell covers both variants without modification.
• Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the F205 platform. The BMS accepted the charge profile on the first cycle, held the protection thresholds at both ends of the discharge curve, and showed no thermal anomalies during the constant-current phase.
• Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-to-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before any high-current fast charging pushes current into an uncalibrated state — preventing erratic percentage readings early on.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the F205 after a cell swap

This happens when the fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old cell's internal resistance profile. The new cell has a different voltage-under-load curve, so the phone's coulomb counter predicts remaining charge incorrectly. Under a high-draw event — mobile data handoff, screen-on burst — the cell voltage dips below the shutdown threshold before the displayed percentage reaches zero. One full discharge cycle from 100% to automatic shutdown, followed by a full charge, lets the IC recalibrate to the new curve. After that cycle, the percentage reading stabilises and early shutdowns stop.

F205 not powering on after the replacement battery sat in storage

Li-Polymer cells in storage self-discharge slowly. If the cell drops below approximately 2.5V per cell, the BMS enters lockout mode to prevent further discharge damage. The phone will not respond to the power button and may show no charging indicator. Connect the phone to a wall charger — not a PC port — and leave it for 20 to 30 minutes without pressing anything. The charge IC trickle-charges the cell back above the BMS re-enable threshold, after which normal charging resumes and the phone powers on.
