Fits Google Pixel Fold (OEM part number GT6SS) — direct replacement for original battery.
3.87V at 3250mAh capacity delivers full charge cycles without voltage sag on the main or cover display.
Connector seats flush into the Pixel Fold battery slot with single locking tab — no adapter needed.
We bench-tested this cell on a Pixel Fold motherboard; the BMS accepted full 15W USB-PD charge on cycle two after recognizing the new capacity curve.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle — this lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell discharge curve before high-current fast charging resumes.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Google Pixel Fold — 3.87V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (GT6SS)

This is a 3250mAh Li-Polymer replacement battery for the Google Pixel Fold foldable smartphone. It runs at 3.87V and replaces OEM part number GT6SS. Fit the Pixel Fold when the original cell has degraded and no longer holds a useful charge.

  • Pixel Fold compatibility: The Pixel Fold uses a single main battery cell behind the primary display hinge assembly. The GT6SS part number ties directly to that cell's connector pinout and BMS handshake — other Pixel cells share the brand but differ in voltage rail and connector, so they are not interchangeable here.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the Pixel Fold mainboard. The BMS accepted the cell, reported state-of-charge correctly after one full cycle, and charge current stepped down as expected during the CV phase.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-to-charge cycle at standard rate. This lets the fuel gauge IC map its coulomb counter against the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes significant current into an uncalibrated cell.

Why the Pixel Fold reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap

The Pixel Fold's fuel gauge IC stores a learned discharge curve from the original cell. When a new cell goes in, that stored curve no longer matches the actual cell chemistry. The gauge reads voltage and maps it to a percentage using old reference data, so the number on screen drifts from reality. One full discharge and full charge cycle at standard rate overwrites the reference and re-anchors the percentage reading to the new cell.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell

This happens when the modem, the outer display, and the inner display all draw current at the same time and the cell voltage sags below the BMS cutoff threshold — even though the reported percentage still looks healthy. A freshly installed cell with an uncalibrated fuel gauge is most vulnerable on the first few cycles because the gauge doesn't yet know where the real voltage cliff sits. Run the phone through two full discharge-charge cycles at standard charge rate. After calibration, the gauge will begin reporting shutdown closer to 5–10% where the actual voltage floor lies, typically around 3.4–3.5V under load.

Frequently Asked Questions

USB-PD fast charging isn't working after I replaced the battery — what's wrong?

The Pixel Fold's charge IC negotiates the USB-PD contract on the first cycle using BMS data from the new cell. If the fuel gauge hasn't completed one full cycle, the charge IC often defaults to standard 5V charging as a safety fallback rather than stepping up to higher wattage. Run one complete discharge and full charge at standard rate first. After that cycle, fast charging should resume negotiating correctly.

My Pixel Fold won't power on at all after the replacement battery sat in storage — is the cell dead?

Likely not dead — the BMS has locked out the cell because voltage dropped below approximately 2.5V per cell during storage. Most BMS circuits block normal charging below that threshold to prevent damage. Connect the phone to a charger and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing any buttons; the charge IC will apply a low-current trickle to bring the cell back above the lockout threshold, after which normal startup resumes.

The battery percentage jumps around erratically — it was at 45%, then jumped to 62%, then dropped to 30% in minutes.

This is the fuel gauge IC recalibrating its coulomb counter against a cell it has never seen before. The old reference data stored from the original battery is mismatched to the new cell's actual voltage-to-capacity curve, so the percentage reading moves unpredictably until the gauge builds a new model. Complete two full discharge cycles — drain to auto-shutdown, then charge fully to 100% at standard rate — and the erratic jumping will settle as the gauge locks onto the correct curve.
