Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

HTC HD Mini / T5555 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (BB92100)
This is a 3.7V, 1100mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the HTC HD Mini and T5555 smartphones, including the HD Mini US and Photon variants. It replaces OEM part numbers BB92100, 35H00137-00M, BA S430, and 35H00137-01M. Physical dimensions are 45.66 × 41.78 × 6.20mm — measure your original before fitting if you are unsure.
- HD Mini / T5555 platform fit: All variants in this family — HD Mini, T5555, HD Mini US, Photon — share the same connector pinout and BMS handshake protocol. One cell covers the full range without hardware modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the HD Mini platform. The BMS negotiated correctly, protection circuits tripped at expected voltage limits, and the charge IC accepted the cell without fault codes.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first install: After fitting this cell, run one full discharge-to-charge cycle with fast charging disabled. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before it begins reporting percentages to the OS — skipping this step causes erratic percentage readings for the first several sessions.
Why the HD Mini reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap
The HD Mini uses a fuel gauge IC that learns the discharge curve of whatever cell is installed. When you swap to a new cell, the IC still holds the old cell's calibration data. It reads voltage and converts that to a percentage using the wrong reference curve. The result is that the phone may show 60% and then jump to 20% within minutes. One full, uninterrupted discharge down to auto-shutdown followed by a complete charge resets the coulomb counter and forces the IC to relearn against the new cell.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell
This happens when the cell voltage drops below what the modem or display backlight needs under load, even though the fuel gauge still reads a usable percentage. The HD Mini's processor and radio draw brief current spikes that cause an uncalibrated or partially discharged cell to sag below 3.2V — at that point the BMS cuts output instantly. It is not a faulty battery. Run two full discharge-charge cycles without interruption, and the fuel gauge IC will begin predicting that voltage cliff accurately and shut down gracefully before you hit it.

Frequently Asked Questions
My HTC HD Mini won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for months — is the cell dead?
The BMS locks out when cell voltage drops below roughly 2.5V from prolonged storage, and the phone shows nothing — no charge indicator, no vibration. Connect it to a wall charger, not a PC port, and leave it for 30–45 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC on the HD Mini trickle-charges a locked-out cell at a low current to bring it back above the BMS re-enable threshold, typically around 2.9V, before switching to normal charge rate.
The battery percentage on my HD Mini jumps around — shows 45%, then skips to 12% with no warning. What's wrong?
The fuel gauge IC is still running the discharge curve it learned from your old, degraded cell. It has no accurate reference for how this new cell loses voltage under load. Run two complete cycles — discharge until the phone shuts itself off, then charge uninterrupted to 100% — and do not top-up or pull the phone off charge early during those cycles. After the second full cycle, percentage reporting stabilises as the coulomb counter locks onto the new cell's actual curve.
The HD Mini gets noticeably warm near the battery during the first few charges — is that a fault?
A new cell at full impedance pulls more heat from the charge IC during the first few cycles than a broken-in cell does. This is normal for the first two to three charges and settles as the cell's internal resistance drops with use. If the back of the phone stays warm past the third full charge cycle, check that you are not charging in a case or on a surface that traps heat — the HD Mini's charge IC throttles slowly and relies on ambient airflow to regulate temperature. The warmth should be gone by the fourth charge.
