Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

LG 6070 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery
This 3.7V, 800mAh Li-ion cell replaces the original battery in the LG 6070 mobile phone. It fits the 6070, LG6070, and G6070 model variants. Capacity is 800mAh (2.96Wh), matching the original cell specification.
- LG 6070 / G6070 compatibility: All three model designations — 6070, LG6070, and G6070 — reference the same hardware platform. The battery connector, physical footprint, and BMS voltage thresholds are identical across the variant labelling. One cell fits all three.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through a full charge and discharge cycle on the LG 6070 platform. The BMS handshake completed without fault codes, and the fuel gauge IC accepted the new cell curve without triggering a false low-battery cutoff during the initial cycle.
- First-cycle fuel gauge recalibration: After installing this battery, disable fast charging for the first complete discharge-charge cycle. The fuel gauge IC in the LG 6070 calibrates its coulomb counter against the actual discharge curve of the new cell. Running a full cycle at standard charge current first gives the IC accurate reference data before high-current charging begins.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the LG 6070 after a cell swap
The LG 6070's fuel gauge IC retains the discharge curve from the old, degraded cell. When a new cell is installed, the IC maps its percentage readout against that old curve, so the displayed percentage no longer corresponds to actual cell voltage. Under load from the modem or display backlight, the cell voltage drops below the BMS cutoff threshold while the screen still shows 20–30% remaining — the phone shuts down. This resolves after one complete discharge-charge cycle, which forces the coulomb counter to rebuild its reference table against the new cell. Run the phone down to automatic shutdown once, then charge to 100% uninterrupted.
LG 6070 stays warm near the battery slot during the first charge after replacement
A new Li-ion cell has higher internal impedance than a broken-in cell. During the first charge cycle, the charge IC in the LG 6070 pushes current into a cell the system hasn't characterised yet, which increases resistive heating at the cell terminals. This is normal during the first one or two cycles and reduces once the BMS has mapped the cell's impedance profile. If warmth continues past the second full charge, verify the charger output — use a 5V/1A source and keep charge current at or below the rated 800mAh cell threshold.

Frequently Asked Questions
My LG 6070 won't turn on at all after the new battery sat in a drawer for a few months — is the battery dead?
Likely not dead, but the BMS has locked out below 2.5V per cell after deep discharge in storage. Connect the phone to a wall charger — not a PC USB port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC needs to trickle current into the cell long enough to bring cell voltage above the 2.9V BMS re-enable threshold before the phone will attempt to boot.
The battery percentage on my LG 6070 jumps around erratically — it reads 45%, then suddenly 70%, then 30% within minutes.
This is the fuel gauge IC recalibrating its coulomb counter against the new cell's discharge curve. The old calibration data stored in the IC doesn't match the charge characteristics of the replacement cell, so percentage readouts are unreliable until the counter resets. Run one complete discharge to automatic shutdown, then charge to 100% in a single uninterrupted session. After that cycle, the IC will have rebuilt its reference curve and percentage readings will stabilise.
Fast charging stopped working on my LG 6070 right after I put in the replacement battery — it only charges slowly now.
On the first cycle after a cell swap, the charge IC defaults to standard current until it has verified the new cell's impedance and temperature response. The proprietary fast-charge handshake won't engage until the system trusts the new cell's parameters. Complete one full standard charge-to-discharge cycle first. After that cycle, reconnect the original fast charger — the IC should negotiate the higher current rate once it has baseline data from the new cell.
