Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Mobiado Professional 105 Damascus — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This is a 3.7V 750mAh Li-ion replacement cell for the Mobiado Professional 105 Damascus and related 105-series handsets. It fits the Professional 105CLB, 105EM, and 105GCB among others sharing the same battery bay. Dimensions are 38.02 × 38.00 × 5.65mm — verify these against your existing cell before fitting.

  • 105-series platform fit: The Professional 105 line shares a common battery footprint across its variants. Same voltage rail, same connector orientation, same BMS handshake requirements — one cell covers the full 105 range listed in the compatibility data.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on 105-series hardware. The BMS accepted charge normally, voltage held steady at load, and cutoff thresholds triggered as expected at both ends of the discharge curve.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first cycle: On first use after installation, disable any fast-charge option for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC map its coulomb counter against the new cell's actual discharge curve before high-current charging runs into an uncalibrated state estimation.

Why the Professional 105 reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap

The fuel gauge IC in the 105-series stores a learned discharge curve from the original cell. When you fit a new cell, that stored curve no longer matches real-world voltage behaviour. The OS reads an estimated state of charge from a model calibrated to a degraded or differently-aged cell, so percentages appear inflated or deflated. One full discharge to automatic shutdown followed by a full uninterrupted charge resets the coulomb counter and brings the gauge back in line.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell

This happens when the cell voltage drops below the modem or display load threshold faster than the fuel gauge predicts — a voltage cliff the IC wasn't expecting. At 750mAh, the 105's cell is small, and transient current draw from radio activity or screen-on events can pull voltage down sharply. The BMS trips the output before the percentage counter reaches zero. Run one full calibration cycle and the IC adjusts its cutoff model; if shutdowns persist below 3.2V under load, the cell needs inspection.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Mobiado Professional 105 won't turn on after the new battery sat in a drawer for a few months — is it dead?

Most likely the cell dropped below 2.5V in storage and the BMS locked the output to prevent damage. Connect the phone to a wall charger and leave it for 20–30 minutes before attempting to power on — the charge IC needs to push a recovery trickle current through before the BMS will re-enable discharge. If the phone still shows nothing after that window, try a different cable and known-good charger. Once voltage recovers above 3.0V per cell, the BMS unlocks and the phone boots normally.

The battery percentage on my Professional 105 jumps around erratically — it showed 45% then jumped to 12% without warning.

The fuel gauge IC is recalibrating against the new cell's discharge curve and hasn't locked onto an accurate model yet. This is expected in the first few cycles after a cell swap — the coulomb counter is comparing live voltage readings against a stored curve that was built for the old cell. Run the phone down to automatic shutdown, then charge it fully in one uninterrupted session without removing it from the charger early. After one complete cycle the IC updates its model and percentage tracking stabilises.

Fast charging stopped working after I replaced the battery on my Professional 105 — it only trickle charges now.

On the first cycle after a cell swap, the charge IC can default to a conservative constant-current mode because it hasn't confirmed the new cell's impedance profile. This is a protection behaviour, not a fault. Let the phone complete one full charge at the slower rate without interrupting it. On subsequent cycles the charge IC re-evaluates input current headroom and fast-charge protocols resume at the correct current level once the cell's internal resistance reading falls within the expected window.
