Fits Mobistel Cynus E7 smartphone; replaces OEM battery Cynus E7.
3.8V, 2200mAh lithium-polymer cell powers calls, messaging, and apps on this device.
Connector slides into the internal slot behind the back panel with no locking tab.
We bench-tested this cell in the Cynus E7 platform; the fuel gauge IC accepted the new BMS handshake on first insertion without reset prompts.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle so the coulomb counter recalibrates against this cell's discharge curve before high-current charging resumes.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Mobistel Cynus E7 — 3.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery

This 3.8V, 2200mAh Li-Polymer cell is a direct replacement for the Mobistel Cynus E7 smartphone. It fits the Cynus E7 only — do not assume cross-compatibility with adjacent Cynus models. Capacity is rated at 8.36Wh under controlled discharge.

  • Cynus E7 fit: The E7 uses a specific pouch cell footprint — 74.25 x 60.87 x 4.44mm. That dimensional spec matters because the battery door on this handset clamps against the cell face. A cell even 0.2mm thicker will bow the cover and stress the contact pads.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and load discharge on the Cynus E7 platform. The BMS accepted charge termination correctly and showed no false-full cutoff on the first cycle.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-charge cycle at standard rate. This lets the fuel gauge IC map its coulomb counter against the new cell's actual discharge curve before any high-current session pushes charge into an uncalibrated state.

Why the Cynus E7 reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap

The Cynus E7 uses a fuel gauge IC that builds its state-of-charge model from the discharge history of the original cell. When a new cell goes in, that learned curve no longer matches the new cell's actual voltage-to-capacity relationship. The gauge will report percentages that drift — sometimes reading 40% when the cell is closer to 15%. One full slow discharge-to-cutoff followed by a full charge resets the coulomb counter and lets the IC rebuild its curve against the new cell.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% remaining on the Cynus E7

This is a voltage cliff issue, not a capacity issue. Under modem transmit load or screen-on draw, the cell voltage drops faster than the fuel gauge predicted — it hits the BMS low-voltage cutoff while the display still shows 20–30%. It happens most often when the gauge IC has not yet recalibrated to the new cell. Run the recalibration cycle first. If shutdowns continue after two full cycles, check that the resting open-circuit voltage reads at least 3.7V before loading the device.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Cynus E7 won't turn on at all after the new battery sat in a drawer for a few months — is it dead?

Most likely the cell discharged below the BMS lockout threshold of around 2.5V per cell during storage. The BMS cuts output entirely at that voltage to prevent damage, so the phone sees nothing and will not boot. Plug the phone into a wall charger — not a PC USB port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button. If the cell recovers above the lockout threshold the BMS will re-enable output and the phone will begin a normal charge cycle.

Fast charging stopped working on the Cynus E7 after I fitted the replacement battery — the phone just slow charges now.

On the first cycle after a cell swap, some charge ICs default to a conservative constant-current profile because the fuel gauge reports an uncalibrated state-of-charge. The fast charge protocol will not engage until the IC trusts the gauge reading. Complete one full slow charge to 100% without interruption, then let the phone discharge naturally to below 20% and charge again — fast charging typically re-enables on the second cycle once the coulomb counter has a reference point.

The battery percentage on my Cynus E7 jumps around erratically — it went from 45% to 12% in two minutes.

This is the fuel gauge IC recalibrating against an unfamiliar discharge curve. The old learned model built up over months of use with the original cell does not match the new cell's voltage slope, so percentage reads become unstable under variable load. Run one complete uninterrupted discharge until the phone shuts itself off at cutoff, then charge to 100% in a single session. After that cycle the IC has enough data to track the new cell accurately and percentage readings stabilise.
