Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Navon T400 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (T400)
This is a 3.7V 1200mAh Li-ion cell for the Navon T400 smartphone. It replaces the original battery when the cell has degraded, swells, or no longer holds a usable charge. Dimensions are 60.70 × 50.10 × 4.24mm — confirm these against your existing cell before installing.
- Navon T400 fitment: The T400 uses a compact removable Li-ion cell with a low 3.7V nominal rail. The connector pinout and BMS communication lines match the original cell, so the phone's charge IC recognises the battery on first boot.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on a controlled rig. The BMS engaged protection at the expected cutoff voltage and resumed charging cleanly after a rest period. No anomalous heat or voltage drop was recorded.
- Fuel gauge recalibration after swap: On first use after installation, run one full discharge to auto-off then charge uninterrupted to 100% before using the phone normally. This gives the fuel gauge IC a complete reference curve against the new cell — skipping it causes percentage jumps and early shutdowns.
Why the T400 reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap
The T400's fuel gauge IC stores a learned discharge curve from the original cell. When a new cell goes in, that stored curve no longer matches the actual voltage-to-capacity relationship of the replacement. The chip reads voltage and maps it to a percentage using old data, so it shows numbers that are off by 10–20%. One complete discharge-charge cycle overwrites the reference and the gauge reads accurately from that point forward.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell
This happens when the cell voltage drops sharply under load — typically during modem activity, screen-on bursts, or app CPU spikes. The phone's protection circuit triggers a shutdown before the displayed percentage reaches zero because the cell cannot sustain voltage above the 3.0V cutoff under that load. It is not a faulty battery — it is an uncalibrated fuel gauge reading a fresh cell. Run one full discharge cycle to 0% auto-off, then charge to 100%, and the shutdowns will stop.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Navon T400 shuts off at around 25% battery after I put the new cell in — is something wrong with it?
Nothing is wrong with the cell. The fuel gauge IC on the T400 is still using the discharge curve it learned from the old battery, so it misreads the voltage-to-capacity relationship of the new one. Under modem or screen load the cell voltage dips sharply, the phone hits its 3.0V protection cutoff, and it shuts down before the counter reaches zero. Run one full discharge to auto-off, then charge uninterrupted to 100%, and the shutdowns will stop.
The battery percentage on my T400 is jumping around erratically — it drops from 60% to 40% in minutes, then jumps back up.
The coulomb counter inside the T400 is recalibrating to the new cell's actual discharge curve. Until it has one complete reference cycle, the percentage estimate is based on stale data from the old cell and the readings are unreliable. Let the phone discharge fully to auto-off without charging it partway, then charge it to 100% in one go. After that single cycle the gauge locks onto the new curve and the jumping stops.
The phone feels warm near the battery compartment while charging the new cell — should I be worried?
Mild warmth on the first few charge cycles is normal. A new cell starts with higher internal impedance than a broken-in one, so the charge IC pushes current into more resistance and generates slightly more heat than usual. It settles after three to five cycles as the cell's impedance drops. If the phone becomes hot to the touch or the charge IC is throttling — shown by very slow charge progress — remove the phone from the charger, let it cool to room temperature, and reconnect.
