Fits Wiko Robby with OEM part number 5212 as direct replacement cell.
3.7V at 2000mAh delivers full operational capacity to the Robby's processor, modem, and display stack.
Connector and locking tab match OEM housing — slides into battery bay without modification or force.
We ran discharge cycles on a Robby test unit; BMS accepted charge on first insertion without fault codes.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle so the fuel gauge IC recalibrates against the new cell curve before high-current charging.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Wiko Robby — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (5212)

This is a 3.7V, 2000mAh Li-ion cell for the Wiko Robby smartphone. It replaces OEM part number 5212 and fits the Robby's battery bay directly. Capacity is rated at 7.4Wh, matching the original cell specification.

  • Wiko Robby fit: The Robby uses a single-cell 3.7V Li-ion pack with a fixed connector and BMS handshake tied to that nominal voltage rail. Any cell outside that spec will be rejected at the charge IC level — this replacement stays within the required parameters.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the Robby platform. The BMS accepted the cell without fault flags, and the charge IC held termination voltage at 4.2V as expected.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging runs against an uncalibrated reference.

Why the Robby reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap

The Robby's fuel gauge IC builds its percentage model from the discharge curve of the previous cell. When a new cell goes in, that stored curve no longer matches actual cell behaviour. The IC may report 50% while the real state of charge is significantly lower or higher. One full discharge down to automatic shutoff, followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100%, forces the IC to write a new reference curve against the replacement cell.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell

This happens when the cell voltage drops below the modem's or display's minimum operating threshold under load, even though the fuel gauge still shows charge remaining. It is a voltage-cliff failure — the cell cannot sustain the voltage rail when the modem fires a transmission burst or the screen draws peak current. The fuel gauge IC has not yet mapped where this cliff sits on the new cell. Run one full calibration cycle first, then check whether shutdowns continue. If they do, verify resting cell voltage with a multimeter — it should read at or above 3.7V when the phone shows 30%.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Wiko Robby won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for months — is it dead?

Likely not dead — the BMS has gone into lockout because the cell self-discharged below 2.5V during storage. Connect the Robby to a wall charger and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button; the charge IC needs to trickle current into the cell before the BMS will release the lockout. If the charging indicator appears after that window, let it charge fully before booting. If nothing appears after 45 minutes on the charger, check the charger output with a different device first.

The battery percentage on my Robby jumps around erratically — shows 60%, drops to 15%, then jumps back up.

This is the fuel gauge IC recalibrating against the new cell's discharge curve after replacement. The IC's stored coulomb-counter reference was built from the old, degraded cell and no longer maps correctly to the new one. Run one complete cycle — discharge the phone until it shuts itself off automatically, then charge to 100% without interruption. After that single cycle, the percentage readings should stabilise.

Fast charging stopped working on my Robby after I installed the new battery — it only slow charges now.

On the first cycle after a cell swap, the Robby's charge IC sometimes defaults to standard charge current until it has profiled the new cell's impedance. This is a protective behaviour, not a fault. Complete one full standard charge-discharge cycle, then reconnect your fast charger. If fast charge still does not engage, check that the charger outputs at least 5V/2A and that the USB cable supports data lines — the Robby's charge negotiation uses the data pins to handshake the charge rate.
