Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Nokia 8 Sirocco — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (HE333)
This is a 3.85V, 3000mAh (11.55Wh) Li-Polymer replacement battery for the Nokia 8 Sirocco smartphone. It fits the standard 8 Sirocco, 8 Sirocco Global TD-LTE, 8 Sirocco Global Dual SIM, and HMD Avatar variants. All share the same battery bay geometry and HE333 connector pinout.
- Nokia 8 Sirocco and HMD Avatar compatibility: These four variants run the same power rail, BMS handshake protocol, and HE333 connector. The fuel gauge IC communicates with the same SMBus lines across all of them, so one cell fits all without pin remapping or firmware differences.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full discharge and recharge on a Nokia 8 Sirocco unit, confirming BMS handshake, charge acceptance, and voltage stability under screen-on and modem-active loads. The cell held 3.85V nominal with no mid-cycle cutoff events.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-to-charge cycle at standard rate. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before the charge IC pushes high current into an uncalibrated cell.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Nokia 8 Sirocco after a cell swap
This happens when the fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve. The new cell hits a voltage cliff earlier under modem or display load, and the phone's power management IC reads it as a critical low-voltage event before the percentage counter catches up. The OS shuts down to protect the new cell — but the reported percentage is wrong, not the battery. One full discharge from 100% to auto-shutdown, then a full charge without interruption, resets the coulomb counter to the new cell's actual curve.
USB-PD fast charge not working on the first cycle after replacement
On the first cycle, the BMS in a new cell may not immediately complete the USB-PD handshake that authorises high-current charging. The charge IC falls back to standard 5V input instead of negotiating the higher voltage. This is not a fault — it resolves after the first full standard-rate charge cycle completes and the BMS registers the cell as initialised. After that first cycle, reconnect the USB-PD charger and the protocol negotiation should succeed at the expected voltage.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Nokia 8 Sirocco keeps shutting off at around 25% after I put in the new battery — is the cell faulty?
The cell is almost certainly fine. The fuel gauge IC is still reading the old battery's discharge curve and triggers a low-voltage shutdown before the percentage display catches up to the new cell's actual state. Run one uninterrupted discharge from 100% down to automatic shutdown, then charge fully at standard rate without interruption. After that single calibration cycle, the coulomb counter aligns to the new cell and the early shutdowns stop.
The Nokia 8 Sirocco won't power on at all after the replacement battery sat in the phone for a few weeks without being charged — how do I recover it?
If the cell dropped below roughly 2.5V during storage, the BMS locks out to prevent damage to a deeply discharged Li-Polymer cell. Plug in a charger and leave it connected for at least 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button — the charge IC needs to trickle enough current into the cell to bring it above the BMS re-enable threshold before the phone will boot. If the screen shows nothing after 30 minutes, try a different cable and a charger that outputs at least 1A at 5V, then wait again before attempting to power on.
The battery percentage on my Nokia 8 Sirocco is jumping around erratically — it reads 60%, then jumps to 45%, then back to 55% within minutes. What's causing this?
The fuel gauge IC uses a stored discharge model to estimate state of charge, and after a cell swap it has no accurate model for the new cell yet. Until one full discharge-charge cycle completes, the coulomb counter is extrapolating from bad reference data and the percentage output is unreliable. Complete one full cycle — discharge fully under normal use until the phone shuts itself off, then charge to 100% at standard rate without unplugging early. The erratic jumps should stop once the IC has a complete discharge profile for the new cell.
