Fits OnePlus CPH2467, CPH2465, and Nord CE 3 Lite — direct replacement for BLP989 battery.
3.87V nominal, 5000mAh capacity restores full charge cycles on this lithium-polymer cell.
Connector seats flush into the factory slot with no adapter needed or modification.
We ran full charge-discharge cycles on the BMS — fuel gauge IC accepted the cell without lockout.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle to let the fuel gauge recalibrate against this cell's discharge curve before high-current charging.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

OnePlus Nord CE 3 Lite — 3.87V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (BLP989)

This is a 5000mAh Li-Polymer cell at 3.87V nominal, replacing part number BLP989. It fits the OnePlus CPH2467, CPH2465, and Nord CE 3 Lite. Capacity figure is taken from product data — 19.35Wh total energy.

  • CPH2467 and CPH2465 platform: Both variants share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. One cell covers both without any modification to the connector or mounting tabs.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through the Nord CE 3 Lite charge IC and confirmed the BMS completed a full CC-CV charge sequence without tripping over-voltage cutoff. Cell voltage held within 20mV of spec at top of charge.
  • First-cycle fast charge hold-off: On first use after installation, disable SUPERVOOC fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC build an accurate discharge curve before the charge IC pushes high current into an uncalibrated cell.

Why the Nord CE 3 Lite reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap

The phone's fuel gauge IC stores a learned discharge curve from the original cell. When a new cell goes in, that stored curve no longer matches the actual cell chemistry, so the percentage readout drifts — often reading 20% high or low at mid-charge. The fix is one full discharge-charge cycle at slow charge speed. After that cycle, the coulomb counter re-anchors its empty and full reference points to the new cell. Percentage accuracy normalises within two to three cycles.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell

This happens when the fuel gauge IC hasn't yet calibrated the voltage cliff for the new cell. Under modem or screen load, cell voltage drops faster than the uncalibrated gauge predicts, and the system shuts down before the displayed percentage reaches zero. It is not a defective cell — it is a gauge mismatch. Run one full slow-charge cycle down to 5% and back to 100%, and the IC will map the actual voltage cliff. After calibration, the cell should sustain voltage above 3.5V under load at the 20% mark.

Frequently Asked Questions

The phone won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months — is it dead?

The BMS locks out when cell voltage drops below approximately 2.5V from prolonged storage discharge. Plug in the original charger and leave it connected for 20–30 minutes before pressing the power button — the charge IC needs time to trickle current into the cell before the BMS will release the lockout. If the charging indicator still doesn't appear after 30 minutes, check the connector seating and confirm the flex cable is fully clicked down. Once the cell reaches around 3.0V, the phone will boot normally.

SUPERVOOC fast charging stopped working after I fitted this cell — slow charging only now?

On the first cycle after a cell swap, the BMS on the new cell hasn't yet completed a handshake with the phone's charge IC, and the proprietary SUPERVOOC protocol requires that handshake before it authorises high-current delivery. Complete one full charge cycle using the standard 10W USB-C charge path. After that cycle, reconnect the original SUPERVOOC adapter — the handshake should complete and the fast charge indicator will reappear. If it doesn't, check that the adapter is the original OnePlus SUPERVOOC brick, not a third-party USB-PD unit.

The battery percentage jumps around erratically — goes from 45% to 62% in a few minutes without charging?

Erratic percentage readings are a fuel gauge IC recalibration symptom, not a cell fault. The coulomb counter still has reference data from the old cell and is misreading the new cell's state of charge at mid-range voltages. Run the phone down to 5% on normal use, then charge to 100% in one uninterrupted session at slow charge speed without unplugging partway through. That single full cycle gives the IC two clean anchor points — confirmed empty near 3.4V and confirmed full at 4.45V — and percentage stability returns within one or two further cycles.
