Fits Realme GT Neo 5SE smartphone, replacing OEM battery BLP991 directly.
7.82V, 2650mAh lithium-polymer cell delivers full power to processor, modem, and display on each charge cycle.
Connector seats into original slot with no adapter needed; locking tab aligns flush against housing edge.
We bench-tested this pack on a GT Neo 5SE reference unit — BMS accepted charge without fault codes, voltage curve tracked within 40mV of OEM spec across discharge.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle so the fuel gauge IC recalibrates to the new cell's discharge curve before USB-PD current loads an uncalibrated cell.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Realme GT Neo 5SE — 7.82V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (BLP991)

The BLP991 is a 7.82V, 2650mAh Li-Polymer cell that replaces the original battery in the Realme GT Neo 5SE smartphone. It fits the GT Neo 5SE directly and restores power to the processor, display, modem, and all system functions. Use this when the original cell no longer holds charge, causes early shutdowns, or has degraded through repeated charge cycles.

  • GT Neo 5SE fit: The BLP991 part number is specific to the GT Neo 5SE. The connector, cell dimensions, and BMS handshake all match the original Realme power management IC — no adapter or modification needed.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the GT Neo 5SE platform. The BMS accepted the cell without triggering thermal cutoff or charge rejection, and the fuel gauge IC tracked state-of-charge correctly after one full cycle.
  • First-cycle fast charge handling: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-charge cycle at standard rate. This lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell's discharge curve before high-current fast charging pushes current into an uncalibrated cell.

Why the GT Neo 5SE reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap

The GT Neo 5SE uses a coulomb counter and fuel gauge IC that builds its charge model from the previous cell's discharge curve. When you swap to a new BLP991, the stored model no longer matches the actual cell chemistry and impedance. The percentage readout will drift — often reading higher or lower than the true state of charge. One full discharge to auto-shutdown followed by a complete charge to 100% at standard rate forces the IC to rewrite its curve against the new cell.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% remaining on the replacement cell

This happens when the modem, display, or CPU draws a short high-current burst and the cell voltage drops below the BMS protection threshold — even though the fuel gauge still shows charge remaining. The GT Neo 5SE's power rail will cut out if cell voltage dips below roughly 3.4V per cell under load. The fix is the same recalibration cycle: drain to auto-shutdown, charge fully, and let the fuel gauge IC re-anchor its low-voltage cliff point to the new cell's actual curve.

Frequently Asked Questions

The GT Neo 5SE shut down at 28% and now won't turn back on — is the battery dead or is something else going on?

The cell voltage dropped below the BMS cutoff under load — the modem or display drew a short burst the cell couldn't sustain, and the BMS tripped to protect the cell. The fuel gauge was still showing charge because it hadn't recalibrated to the new cell's discharge curve yet. Plug into a charger and leave it for 15–20 minutes before attempting to power on — the BMS needs to see enough incoming current to release the lockout. After it boots, run one full discharge-to-shutdown and full recharge cycle to reset the fuel gauge's low-voltage threshold.

Fast charging stopped working after I fitted the BLP991 — the phone just charges slowly now?

On the first cycle after a cell swap, the Realme charge IC sometimes falls back to standard rate because the proprietary fast-charge handshake didn't complete cleanly with the new BMS. This is normal on the first charge. Power the phone off completely, connect the original Realme charger, and let it charge from cold — the handshake re-runs at the start of each charge session and should re-enable fast charging once the BMS reports a valid cell state.

The battery percentage is jumping around erratically — it dropped from 60% to 31% in two minutes and then went back up?

The fuel gauge IC is still running the charge model it built for the old, degraded cell — the new BLP991 has different impedance and a different discharge curve, so the counter is misfiring. The jumps will continue until the IC recalibrates. Drain the phone completely until it shuts itself off, then charge uninterrupted to 100% at standard rate (fast charging off). After that one cycle the coulomb counter anchors to the new cell's actual curve and the percentage readout stabilises.
