Fits Redmi 6A smartphone, replaces OEM battery BN37.
3.85V at 2900mAh Li-Polymer capacity restores full call, messaging, and app runtime on aging or degraded cells.
Connector slides into the OEM battery slot with flat contact points aligned to device pins — no locking tab, seats flat against the rear case cavity.
We bench-tested the BN37 cell on a Redmi 6A motherboard; the fuel gauge IC accepted the new pack after power-on and ran through initial voltage mapping without fault codes.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle — this lets the coulomb counter recalibrate against the new cell discharge curve before high-current charging.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Redmi 6A — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (BN37)

This is a 3.85V, 2900mAh Li-Polymer replacement battery for the Redmi 6A smartphone. It carries OEM part number BN37 and fits the M1804C3DH, M1804C3DC, and Redmi 6A Dual SIM TD-LTE variants. Install it when the original cell no longer holds a charge or the phone shuts down unexpectedly under load.

  • 6A variant compatibility: The M1804C3DH and M1804C3DC share the same physical cell footprint, connector pinout, and BMS handshake requirements. One BN37 cell covers all listed variants without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on a Redmi 6A unit. The BMS accepted charge at both standard and fast-charge rates after the first full calibration cycle, and protection cutoffs triggered correctly at both ends of the voltage range.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging begins on an uncalibrated cell.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Redmi 6A after a cell swap

The Redmi 6A's fuel gauge IC stores a discharge curve calibrated to the original cell. A new cell has a different internal resistance profile, so the IC misreads the actual state of charge. When the modem fires or the screen peaks in brightness, voltage sags below what the IC expects — and the phone cuts off even though charge remains. One full discharge-to-shutdown followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% forces the coulomb counter to reset against the new cell's actual curve. After that cycle, shutdowns at false low percentages stop.

Phone reports wrong battery percentage after BN37 installation

The MIUI fuel gauge IC on the 6A uses a learned model built from the old cell's charge history. Swapping in a new BN37 cell means that stored model no longer matches real cell behaviour, so the percentage readout drifts — often jumping several points or stalling at a fixed number. A full calibration cycle corrects this: drain the battery until the phone shuts itself off, then charge straight to 100% without interruption. After one complete cycle the IC recalibrates and percentage tracking stabilises.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Redmi 6A shuts off at around 25% after fitting the new BN37 — is the replacement cell faulty?

It is not faulty. The fuel gauge IC on the 6A is still reading the discharge curve of the old cell. Under high-draw moments — modem activity, screen brightness peaks — voltage sags past the IC's threshold and the phone cuts out even though charge physically remains. Run one full calibration cycle: drain until the phone shuts itself off, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. After that single cycle the shutdowns stop.

Fast charging stopped working the first time I plugged in after replacing the battery — what's happening?

On the first charge cycle after a cell swap, the Redmi 6A's charge IC defaults to standard current until it completes an initial handshake with the new BMS. This is normal behaviour — the IC is verifying cell impedance before allowing higher charge rates. Plug in, let it charge fully at standard rate without interrupting, then unplug and reconnect. Fast charging re-enables on subsequent cycles once the BMS handshake is confirmed.

The phone feels warm near the battery area while charging the new BN37 cell — should I be concerned?

A new Li-Polymer cell has slightly higher impedance than a worn cell, so the charge IC pushes against more resistance during the first few cycles — that generates more heat than you may have noticed before. The warmth is temporary and drops off after 3–5 full charge cycles as the cell's impedance settles. If the phone becomes hot to the touch or MIUI throws a temperature warning, remove it from the charger and let it cool to room temperature before resuming charging at 3.85V nominal.
