Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Samsung Galaxy A05 2023 — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (GH81-24241A)
This is a 3.85V, 4900mAh lithium-polymer cell for the Samsung Galaxy A05 2023, covering SM-A055M/DS, SM-A055F/DS, and SM-A055M variants. It replaces the original cell when the phone no longer holds adequate charge or fails to power on reliably. OEM part numbers GH81-24241A and WT-S-N28 both cross-reference this unit.
- SM-A055 series compatibility: All SM-A055 variants share the same 3.85V voltage rail, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. One cell covers the full regional lineup without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through full charge and discharge cycles on an SM-A055F/DS. The BMS accepted the charge IC handshake without fault flags, and the fuel gauge IC tracked state-of-charge continuously through to cutoff.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-to-charge cycle at standard rate. This gives the fuel gauge IC accurate reference points against the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging begins.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Galaxy A05 2023
This is a voltage cliff issue. Under heavy load — mobile data, screen-on, background sync — the cell voltage drops sharply below what the SoC can sustain, triggering an emergency shutdown even though the fuel gauge still reads 20–30%. A degraded original cell with high internal impedance cannot deliver enough current at that load without collapsing voltage. Replacing the cell resolves the root cause, but run one full calibration cycle first so the fuel gauge IC maps the new cell's actual voltage-to-capacity curve correctly.
Phone reports wrong battery percentage after cell swap
The fuel gauge IC on the A05 2023 uses a coulomb counter calibrated to the old cell's charge curve. After a cell swap, it starts from an incorrect baseline, which causes percentage readings to jump or stall — most visibly between 80–100% and again near 20%. The fix is one uninterrupted full discharge down to automatic shutdown, followed by a full charge to 100% at standard rate, with fast charging disabled for that cycle. After that single cycle the coulomb counter recalibrates to 3.85V and the readings stabilise.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Galaxy A05 won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months — is the cell dead?
Likely not dead, but the BMS has locked out due to deep discharge below 2.5V per cell from self-discharge during storage. Plug the phone into the original Samsung charger and leave it for 15–20 minutes without attempting to power it on — the charge IC needs to trickle current into the cell before the BMS will release the lockout. If the phone shows a low-battery animation after that window, the cell is recovering; continue charging to at least 15% before booting.
Fast charging stopped working the first time I plugged in the replacement battery — now it only charges slowly.
On the first cycle after a cell swap, the A05 2023's charge IC sometimes falls back to standard charging because it hasn't yet confirmed the new BMS parameters through the USB-PD negotiation sequence. Disconnect the cable, reboot the phone completely, then reconnect to a Samsung-certified fast charger. If fast charge still doesn't engage, complete one full standard-rate charge cycle first — after the BMS and charge IC complete a full handshake cycle, fast charging typically resumes on the next plug-in.
The phone feels noticeably warm near the battery area while charging the new cell — is that normal?
A new high-impedance lithium-polymer cell generates slightly more heat during early charge cycles than a broken-in cell does, because the charge IC is pushing current into a cell with a higher internal resistance than it will have after a few cycles. Surface warmth in the battery area is expected for the first two or three charges. If the back of the phone becomes hot to the touch — above roughly 40°C — or the phone displays a temperature warning, stop charging immediately and let the device cool to room temperature before resuming.
