Fits Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra models SM-S928J, SM-S928Q, SM-S928D and replaces OEM battery EB-BS928ABY.
3.88V, 4800mAh Li-Polymer cell delivers 18.62Wh for the display, processor, and modem.
Connector inserts vertically into the battery socket with the flex tab oriented toward the fuel gauge IC.
We ran full discharge cycles on a Galaxy S24 Ultra test unit — the BMS accepted charge without fault codes and voltage held steady under screen load.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle so the fuel gauge IC recalibrates against the new cell's discharge curve before USB-PD protocols resume.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra — 3.88V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (EB-BS928ABY)

This is a 3.88V, 4800mAh Li-Polymer replacement battery for the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, including SM-S928J, SM-S928Q, SM-S928D, and related variants. It replaces OEM part EB-BS928ABY and GH82-33387A directly. Swap it when the original cell no longer holds charge or causes erratic percentage readings.

  • S928 platform fit: All SM-S928 variants share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. This cell meets that spec at 73.70 × 60.80 × 5.70mm and 3.88V nominal, so the board communicates with it without error flags.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on SM-S928 hardware. The BMS accepted the cell on first connection, thermal readings during charge stayed within normal range, and no protection cutoff events triggered under standard load.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first cycle: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-charge cycle at standard speed. The fuel gauge IC in the S24 Ultra calibrates its coulomb counter against the new cell's discharge curve — skipping this step causes percentage jumps and false low-battery warnings early on.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Galaxy S24 Ultra after a cell swap

The S24 Ultra's Snapdragon platform pulls hard current spikes when the modem is active or the display runs at peak brightness. A new cell with an uncalibrated fuel gauge IC can report 25% remaining while actual cell voltage has already dropped near the cutoff threshold. The BMS trips at roughly 3.0V per cell to protect the chemistry, and the phone cuts out without warning. One full standard-rate discharge-charge cycle lets the coulomb counter map the actual voltage curve of the new cell, pushing the trip point back to where the percentage readout is accurate.

USB-PD fast charge not activating on the first cycle after replacement

After a cell swap, the S24 Ultra's charge IC may not negotiate the high-current USB-PD contract on the very first charge. The BMS needs to confirm cell impedance is within safe range before it allows elevated current — on a fresh cell this handshake can take one full standard charge to complete. If fast charge appears missing, plug in with the original Samsung charger, let the device charge to 100% at whatever rate it accepts, then unplug and replug. Fast charging typically resumes from the second cycle once the BMS clears its initialization flag.

Frequently Asked Questions

My S24 Ultra shuts off at around 25% after I replaced the battery — is the new cell faulty?

The cell is almost certainly fine. The fuel gauge IC in the S24 Ultra calibrated its discharge curve to the old, degraded cell — when it sees the new cell's voltage drop under modem or display load, it hits the BMS cutoff at roughly 3.0V before the percentage reaches zero. Run one full discharge-charge cycle at standard (non-fast) charge speed. After that cycle the coulomb counter remaps to the new cell and the shutdown behaviour stops.

The battery percentage jumps around erratically after installation — it went from 60% to 34% in seconds.

That's the fuel gauge IC recalibrating against an unfamiliar cell. The S24 Ultra's coulomb counter was tuned to the discharge curve of the original cell; with a new cell installed, it hasn't mapped where each voltage step falls yet. Do not rely on the percentage during this period. Complete two full standard-rate discharge-charge cycles — by the end of the second cycle the IC has enough data to report accurately, and the jumping stops.

The phone gets noticeably warm near the battery area during the first few charges — should I stop charging?

Mild warmth on a first charge with a new cell is expected. A fresh high-impedance Li-Polymer cell dissipates slightly more energy as heat while the charge IC determines the correct current curve. We measured surface temps on the bench during first-cycle charging and they stayed within Samsung's thermal threshold. If the phone gets hot enough to trigger an on-screen temperature warning, disconnect and let it cool to room temperature before continuing — then charge at standard rate rather than fast charge until the first full cycle completes.
