Fits Siemens SL65, SL65 ESCDMA, and SL75 phones. Replaces OEM part numbers EBA-650, EBA-730, and related Siemens internal designations.
3.7V lithium-ion cell rated 750mAh delivers 2.78Wh to power calls, messaging, and standby on early-2000s GSM hardware without voltage sag under modem load.
Connector slides vertically into the battery slot with a single locking tab on the upper edge. Polarity marked on the cell matches the phone's internal contacts.
We bench-tested this cell on a Siemens charger platform and confirmed the BMS accepts the charge handshake without fault codes on first insertion or lockup behavior.
On first power-on after installation, run the phone through one complete discharge-to-shutdown and full recharge cycle before heavy use—the fuel gauge IC needs one full curve to stop reporting false battery percentages mid-call.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Siemens SL65 / SL75 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (EBA-650)

This is a 3.7V, 750mAh Li-ion battery replacing the original EBA-650 cell in the Siemens SL65, SL65 ESCDMA, and SL75 mobile phones. It matches the original 45 × 36 × 6mm footprint and the three-contact connector on the battery bay. Capacity is 750mAh — same as the factory spec.

  • SL65 and SL75 platform fit: The SL65, SL65 ESCDMA, and SL75 all share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and charge IC handshake. One cell covers all three variants without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the SL65 platform. The BMS accepted the charge IC handshake on the first cycle, and protection circuitry tripped correctly at the low-voltage cutoff threshold.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, run one full discharge down to automatic shutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100% before normal use. The SL65 fuel gauge IC calibrates its coulomb counter against the new cell's discharge curve during this cycle — skipping it causes the percentage readout to drift or jump in the first week of use.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the SL65 after a cell swap

The SL65 shuts down mid-use despite the display showing charge remaining because the fuel gauge IC is still mapped to the old cell's voltage-capacity curve. A fresh Li-ion cell has a steeper voltage cliff under GSM transmit load — the phone's modem draws a burst current spike, voltage drops below the protection threshold, and the BMS cuts power before the display catches up. This is not a fault in the replacement cell. One full discharge-charge cycle lets the coulomb counter remap to the new cell's actual curve, and the early shutdowns stop.

Phone feels warm near the battery during the first few charges

A new high-impedance cell generates more heat during the initial charge cycles than a broken-in cell does. The SL65 charge IC pushes a constant current into higher internal resistance, and that converts to heat until the cell's impedance drops after a few cycles. This is normal and temporary. If the phone stays warm past the third full charge cycle, check that the battery contacts are clean and making full contact — partial contact increases resistance further and sustains the heat.

Frequently Asked Questions

My SL65 shows 25% battery and then just cuts off without warning — is the replacement cell faulty?

The cell is not faulty. The SL65 fuel gauge IC is still reading the discharge curve of the old, degraded cell — the new cell's voltage drops faster under GSM transmit load than the gauge expects, and the BMS cuts power before the display updates. Run one complete discharge to automatic shutoff followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100%. After that single calibration cycle, the coulomb counter remaps to the new cell and the early cutoffs stop.

The battery percentage on my SL65 is jumping around erratically — 40%, then 60%, then 30% within minutes.

This is the fuel gauge IC recalibrating itself against a cell it has never seen before. The SL65 stores the old cell's discharge profile in its coulomb counter, and until it overwrites that data, percentage readings are unreliable. Complete one full uninterrupted discharge-to-shutdown followed by a full charge without interruption. The jumping settles after that first complete cycle as the IC writes a new discharge map.

My SL65 won't power on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for several months before I installed it.

Li-ion cells self-discharge in storage, and if the cell dropped below approximately 2.5V, the BMS has entered a lockout state to prevent damage. Connect the phone to a charger and leave it for at least 30 minutes without attempting to power it on — the charge IC needs to trickle current into the cell to bring it above the BMS re-enable threshold before the phone will respond to the power button. If the charge indicator light comes on within that window, the cell is recovering normally.
