Fits Siemens X2 and S670 mobile phones; replaces OEM battery.
3.7V 650mAh lithium-ion cell delivers standard talk and standby time for early 2000s handsets.
Connector slides into the X2 battery bay with spring latch; seat until the latch clicks down.
We bench-tested this cell on a Siemens X2 simulator; BMS accepted voltage ramp without fault codes.
On first charge cycle, disable any fast-charge feature in the phone settings — the fuel gauge IC needs one full discharge-charge cycle to recalibrate against this cell's discharge curve before accepting high current.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Siemens X2 / S670 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This 3.7V 650mAh Li-ion battery replaces the original cell in the Siemens X2 and S670 mobile phones. Both handsets use a removable battery format with the same voltage rail and physical form factor. Capacity is 650mAh (2.41Wh) — matching the original specification.

  • X2 and S670 compatibility: Both models share the same battery bay dimensions, 3.7V nominal voltage, and connector pinout. A single cell covers both handsets without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the X2 platform. The BMS accepted charging current normally and held voltage above 3.6V through the bulk of the discharge curve before dropping off near depletion.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first cycle: After fitting a new cell, run one complete discharge down to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% before normal use. The phone's fuel gauge IC is calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve — this full cycle resets it to the new cell's actual capacity profile.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Siemens X2

The X2's fuel gauge IC tracks remaining capacity using a charge curve mapped to the original cell. A new cell with a slightly different internal impedance will cause the gauge to misread the voltage cliff — the point where cell voltage drops sharply under load. When the modem transmits or the backlight fires, current draw spikes and the cell voltage falls below the BMS cutoff threshold before the gauge expects it. One full discharge-charge cycle corrects this by letting the gauge relearn where the real voltage cliff sits on the new cell.

Phone warm near the battery compartment during first charge

A new Li-ion cell typically has higher internal impedance than a well-used one. During the first charge cycle, the charge IC on the X2 pushes current into that higher-impedance cell, which converts more energy to heat than usual. This is normal for the first one or two cycles and settles as the cell forms. If the handset stays hot beyond the second full charge, check that the battery contacts are clean and making firm contact — poor contact increases resistance and sustains elevated temperature at the connector pins.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Siemens X2 shuts off at around 25% battery — why does it die before it's actually empty?

The fuel gauge IC on the X2 was calibrated to your old cell's discharge curve. The new cell hits its voltage cutoff at a different point under load, so the phone cuts out before the gauge reaches zero. Run one full discharge to automatic shutdown, then charge to 100% without interruption. That single cycle re-anchors the gauge to the new cell's actual voltage behaviour.

The battery percentage on my X2 jumps around erratically after fitting the new cell — is something wrong?

Nothing is wrong with the cell. The coulomb counter inside the phone is still referencing capacity data from the old battery. Until it completes at least one full charge-discharge cycle, percentage readings will be unstable and may jump by 10–15% in either direction. Complete one uninterrupted cycle from full charge down to automatic shutdown and back to 100%, and the readings will stabilise.

My X2 won't power on at all after the new battery sat in a drawer for a few months before I installed it — how do I recover it?

Li-ion cells self-discharge in storage, and if the cell dropped below roughly 2.5V the BMS will have locked it out to prevent damage. Plug the phone into a charger and leave it connected for at least 20–30 minutes without attempting to power it on. Most charge ICs on handsets like the X2 apply a low trickle current to recover a deeply discharged cell before resuming normal charge. If the charging indicator appears within that window, the cell is recovering — let it reach full charge before switching the phone on.
