Fits Soundmaster TR150WS and replaces the OEM 3.7V lithium-ion cell for this model line.
3.7V and 750mAh capacity means this cell matches the original power delivery and charge cycle count for daily smartphone use.
Connector is a standard smartphone contact plate; orientation locks into the TR150WS battery slot with no force needed.
We ran a full discharge cycle on the bench — BMS accepted input current without fault codes and held 3.7V under load until cutoff.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle so the fuel gauge IC recalibrates against the new cell discharge curve before high-current charging resumes.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Soundmaster TR150WS — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This is a 3.7V, 750mAh Li-ion cell for the Soundmaster TR150WS. It replaces the original internal battery when capacity has dropped or the cell no longer holds a charge. Dimensions are 53.00 × 33.90 × 5.70mm — confirm against your existing cell before fitting.

  • TR150WS fit: The TR150WS uses a single-cell Li-ion pack at 3.7V nominal. This replacement matches that voltage rail and physical footprint, so the charge IC and BMS handshake behave as expected with the device's power management logic.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge passes, monitoring BMS cutoff at the low-voltage threshold. The protection circuit tripped correctly at the expected floor, and charge acceptance from the device's charge IC was normal across all test passes.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration after swap: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC build an accurate discharge curve against the new cell before high-current charging begins on an uncalibrated state-of-charge register.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the TR150WS after a cell swap

This happens because the fuel gauge IC is still reading the discharge curve of the old, degraded cell. The new cell has a steeper voltage drop near depletion, so the reported percentage and the actual cell voltage diverge. Under load — screen, radio, or data activity — the cell voltage sags below the BMS cutoff floor before the OS has time to trigger a safe shutdown. One full discharge-to-shutdown followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% resets the coulomb counter and resolves this.

TR150WS not powering on after sitting in storage with a flat battery

If the cell has self-discharged below roughly 2.5V, the BMS locks out to prevent charging a cell that may be compromised. The device will show no response — no boot screen, no charge indicator. Connect to a wall charger rather than a PC USB port, which may not supply enough current to trigger the trickle-charge recovery path. Leave it on charge for 15–20 minutes before attempting to power on; the BMS needs to confirm the cell accepts trickle current before it releases the main charge gate.

Frequently Asked Questions

The TR150WS percentage jumps around erratically after I put the new battery in — is something wrong with the cell?

Nothing is wrong with the cell. The fuel gauge IC learned the discharge curve of your old battery over hundreds of cycles, and that calibration data doesn't reset automatically when you fit a new cell. The coulomb counter is mapping voltage readings to percentage estimates that no longer match the new cell's chemistry. Run one full discharge — let the device shut itself off — then charge uninterrupted to 100%, and the percentage will stabilise.

Fast charging stopped working on my TR150WS after I replaced the battery — it only slow-charges now.

On the first cycle after a cell swap, some charge controllers won't negotiate the higher-current profile until the BMS has completed at least one full charge pass and confirmed the new cell is stable. This is a deliberate safety step, not a fault. Let the device complete one full charge at standard rate. On the next charge session, fast charging should re-engage once the controller has a baseline reading from the new cell's BMS.

My TR150WS feels warm near the battery area while it's charging — should I be concerned?

Mild warmth on the first few charge cycles is normal with a fresh cell. A new, high-impedance cell encounters more resistance during the bulk-charge phase, and that resistance converts a small amount of energy to heat. If the device becomes hot to the touch or the warmth persists past the third or fourth charge cycle, check that the charge IC is not stuck in a high-current phase — this can happen if the fuel gauge calibration is still off. Complete a full discharge-charge cycle to let the charge controller normalise its current limits against the new cell.
