Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

T-Mobile Move — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (CAB31P0000C1)

This is a 3.7V, 1500mAh (5.55Wh) lithium-ion replacement battery for the T-Mobile Move smartphone. It fits directly in place of the original cell and restores power to the display, processor, and wireless radios. OEM part numbers CAB31P0000C1, CAB31P0001C1, and TB-4T0058200 all cross to this cell.

  • T-Mobile Move compatibility: The Move platform uses a single-cell 3.7V nominal Li-ion configuration with a fixed connector pinout. All three OEM part numbers reference the same physical cell and BMS handshake, so this battery covers the full Move production run without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge on the Move platform. The BMS accepted the charge IC handshake immediately, balancing terminated cleanly, and protection circuits tripped correctly at the low-voltage cutoff threshold.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-to-charge cycle at standard rate. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before the charge controller begins pushing higher current into an uncalibrated cell.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell

This happens when the fuel gauge IC is still running the calibration curve from the degraded original cell. The new cell's actual voltage cliff sits at a different point, so the OS reads 25% while the cell voltage has already dropped below what the modem and display draw can sustain. The phone cuts out before the reported percentage reaches zero. One full discharge-charge cycle at standard rate rewrites the coulomb counter baseline and eliminates the premature cutoff.

Phone warm near the battery on the first charge after swap

A new cell starts with higher internal impedance than a broken-in cell. The charge IC compensates by running slightly longer constant-current phases, which generates more heat at the cell surface during that first cycle. This is normal and resolves after one or two full cycles as impedance drops. If the device stays warm beyond the second full charge, check that the back cover is seated flat — trapped air between the cover and cell slows heat dissipation and keeps the charge IC throttled at a warmer operating point.

Frequently Asked Questions

My T-Mobile Move shuts off at around 25% battery after putting in the new cell — is the battery defective?

The cell is not defective. The fuel gauge IC in the Move is still using the discharge curve it learned from the old, degraded battery. When the new cell's voltage drops below what the modem and screen require, the phone cuts out even though the counter still shows charge remaining. Run one full discharge down to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% at standard rate — the coulomb counter resets against the new cell's actual curve and the early shutoffs stop.

The battery percentage on my Move is jumping around erratically — it reads 60%, then drops to 40%, then climbs back up without charging.

Erratic percentage readings after a cell swap are a fuel gauge IC recalibration problem, not a fault in the replacement cell. The IC is interpolating against a stored curve that no longer matches the new cell's impedance and discharge profile, so the reported state-of-charge drifts. Avoid topping up mid-cycle for the first two charge sessions — let the phone discharge fully and recharge completely each time. After two full cycles the fuel gauge stabilises and percentage jumps stop.

Fast charging stopped working on my Move after I replaced the battery — it only charges slowly now.

On the first cycle after a cell swap, the charge controller on the Move can fall back to standard rate while it validates the new cell's thermal and impedance response. This is a protective step, not a permanent fault. Charge the phone at standard rate through one complete cycle, then reconnect your fast charger — the controller accepts the higher current rate once it has a baseline reading from the new cell. If fast charging still does not engage after that, check the cable and charger against a known-good device to rule out a USB-PD negotiation issue on the charger side.
