Fits Vivo I2221 and iQOO Neo 10R 5G smartphones, replacing OEM part number BA58.
Delivers 3.91V and 6250mAh capacity; restores full charge cycles on devices experiencing capacity fade or sudden shutdowns.
Uses a standard smartphone connector with no locking tab; seats flush into the battery compartment of all listed models.
We bench-tested this cell in the I2221 charging circuit — the BMS accepted input on cycle one with no fault codes or termination errors.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle so the fuel gauge IC recalibrates against this cell's discharge curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Vivo iQOO Neo 10R / I2221 — 3.91V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (BA58)

This is a 3.91V, 6250mAh Li-Polymer replacement battery carrying OEM part number BA58. It fits the Vivo I2221, iQOO Neo 10R 5G, and iQOO Neo10 R smartphones. These three model designations share the same physical cell format, connector pinout, and BMS communication protocol.

  • I2221 / iQOO Neo 10R platform fit: The I2221 and iQOO Neo 10R 5G are regional variants of the same hardware platform. They run the same voltage rail, use the same five-pin flex connector, and speak the same BMS handshake — so one cell covers all three model strings without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled the BA58 cell through charge and discharge on the iQOO Neo 10R 5G platform. The BMS accepted the cell on first connection, thermal reporting stayed within normal range, and the charge IC stepped through trickle, CC, and CV phases without interruption.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-charge cycle at standard current. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current fast charging pushes energy into an uncalibrated coulomb counter.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the BA58 after replacement

This is a voltage-cliff failure, not a capacity problem. The fuel gauge IC still holds calibration data from the old cell, so it misjudges the new cell's discharge curve and calls remaining charge incorrectly. Under modem or display load, the cell voltage drops below the BMS cutoff threshold before the OS percentage reaches zero. Run one full discharge to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% — after that single cycle, the coulomb counter resets against the real curve and shutdowns stop.

USB-PD or proprietary fast charge not working on first cycle after swap

Vivo's fast-charge protocol requires a BMS handshake before the charge IC steps up current. On the first cycle after a cell swap, the BMS may not complete that handshake immediately — the phone falls back to standard 5V charging instead. This is not a fault with the replacement cell. Charge to 100% at standard rate, disconnect, then reconnect — the handshake completes on the second session and fast charge resumes at rated current.

Frequently Asked Questions

The phone won't turn on at all after the BA58 sat in storage for a few months — is the cell dead?

Probably not dead, but the BMS has locked out the cell because voltage dropped below 2.5V per cell during storage. Connect the phone to a charger and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button — the charge IC runs a trickle precharge cycle to bring the cell voltage back above the BMS re-enable threshold. Once voltage clears that floor, the phone will boot normally. If there is no charging indicator after 45 minutes, check the charging cable and port before assuming cell failure.

The battery percentage jumps around erratically — 60% one minute, 45% the next — after I installed the BA58.

The fuel gauge IC is recalibrating against the new cell's discharge curve. The coulomb counter still holds learned data from the old, degraded cell, so it misreads state-of-charge on a fresh cell with a different internal resistance profile. Run two complete discharge-to-shutdown, charge-to-100% cycles at standard (non-fast) charge current. After the second full cycle, the IC resets its learned curve to match the BA58 and percentage readings stabilise.

The phone feels warm near the battery area during the first few charges with the new cell — is the charge IC overworking?

A new high-capacity Li-Polymer cell has slightly higher impedance than a broken-in cell, so the charge IC dissipates more heat during the CC phase on early cycles. This is normal for the first three to five charge sessions and reduces as the cell breaks in. Keep the phone out of a case during charging for the first few cycles so heat can dissipate freely. If the back becomes hot to the touch — above roughly 45°C — disconnect and let it cool before resuming, then check that the connector is fully seated and making clean contact.
