Fits Vivo V2283A and V2282A with OEM part number B-Z7 replacement.
3.91V at 4500mAh capacity restores full charge cycles on this Li-Polymer cell.
Connector seats flush into the battery slot with no locking tab obstruction required.
We bench-tested the B-Z7 BMS through five full cycles—fuel gauge IC accepted calibration without early cutoff.
On first charge after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle to let the coulomb counter recalibrate against the new cell curve before USB-PD pushes current into an uncalibrated BMS.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Vivo S17 / V2283A Series — 3.91V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (B-Z7)

This is the B-Z7 Li-Polymer cell for the Vivo V2283A, S17, V2282A, and V2285A smartphones. It runs at 3.91V nominal and delivers 4500mAh (17.6Wh) of capacity. Swap it in when the original cell no longer holds a charge or causes unexpected shutdowns.

  • V2283A / S17 platform fitment: The V2283A, S17, V2282A, and V2285A share the same battery bay geometry, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — one cell covers all of them without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through the Vivo charge IC handshake and confirmed the BMS accepted the charge profile without fault codes at both standard and elevated current steps.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-charge cycle at standard current. This lets the fuel gauge IC map its coulomb counter to the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging begins on an uncalibrated reference.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the V2283A after a cell swap

This happens because the fuel gauge IC still holds the discharge curve of the old, degraded cell. When the new cell's voltage drops under modem or display load, the IC misreads remaining capacity and trips a protective shutdown — even though the cell itself has charge left. The fix is one full uninterrupted discharge to around 3.2V followed by a full charge to 4.35V. After that cycle, the coulomb counter recalibrates and the phantom shutdowns stop.

USB-PD fast charge not activating on the first cycle after replacement

On the first charge after a cell swap, the charge IC may fall back to trickle or standard current because it cannot verify the new cell's internal impedance against a stored baseline. Vivo's charge controller is conservative — it runs a conditioning pass before enabling high-current modes. Let the first charge complete fully at whatever rate the phone accepts. Fast charge typically re-enables automatically from the second cycle onward once the IC has logged a valid impedance reading.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Vivo S17 shuts off at around 25% after I put in the new B-Z7 battery — is the replacement faulty?

The cell is almost certainly fine. The fuel gauge IC calibrated its discharge curve against your old degraded cell, so it misreads the new cell's voltage under load and trips a premature shutdown. Run one full discharge down to roughly 3.2V, then charge fully without interruption. The coulomb counter resets against the new cell's actual curve, and the early shutoffs stop.

The phone feels noticeably warm near the battery area during the first few charges — should I be concerned?

A new Li-Polymer cell has higher internal impedance than a well-cycled one, so the charge IC dissipates slightly more heat during the initial conditioning passes. This is normal for the first two or three cycles and tapers off as the cell's impedance settles. If the warmth continues beyond the third full charge or the phone shows a temperature warning, check that the replacement is seated flat with no adhesive bunching under the cell creating an air gap. No action needed if it resolves on its own by cycle three.

My Vivo V2283A won't power on at all after the B-Z7 sat in a drawer for several months before installation — what's happened?

The BMS has locked out below its minimum cell voltage threshold, typically around 2.5V per cell. A deeply discharged Li-Polymer cell triggers a hard BMS lockout as a protection against cell damage. Connect the phone to a charger and leave it for 15–20 minutes without pressing the power button — the charge IC runs a pre-charge trickle to bring the cell above the lockout threshold before the BMS re-enables. Once the charging indicator appears on screen, a normal charge cycle will complete successfully.
