Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Acer Predator Triton 300 SE PT314-51S Series — 15.48V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (AP20A7N)
This is a 15.48V, 3850mAh (59.6Wh) Li-Polymer battery for the Acer Predator Triton 300 SE PT314-51S series gaming laptop. It replaces OEM part AP20A7N and KT.00407.010. Fit models include the PT314-51S-52ML, PT314-51S-52X6, PT314-51S-54AN, PT314-51S-54GB, and over 76 additional PT314-51S variants.
- PT314-51S series fitment: All PT314-51S variants share the same 15.48V four-cell architecture, AP20A7N OEM part number, and identical BMS connector pinout — that is why one cell fits the full range without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and full-load discharge on the PT314-51S platform. The BMS handshake completed without fault codes, and the cell held voltage within spec across sustained CPU plus GPU draw.
- Post-install calibration on the Triton 300 SE: After fitting, run one full discharge until the laptop hibernates at low-battery cutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears the inaccurate health warning that appears after every cell swap on this platform.
BIOS reporting battery health as poor after replacement on the PT314-51S
The Triton 300 SE BIOS reads health data stored in the old cell's EEPROM and compares it against the new cell's reported state. A fresh cell has no accumulated cycle data, so the BIOS flags it as unknown or degraded on first boot. This is not a fault with the replacement cell — it is the firmware interpreting missing history as damage. Run one full discharge-to-hibernate followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% to begin building cycle data the BIOS can read correctly.
Laptop shuts down at 20–30% shown after battery swap
The fuel gauge IC calibrates its discharge curve against the original cell's chemistry profile. With a new cell installed, the IC has no accurate model yet, so it misjudges the voltage-to-capacity curve and triggers shutdown before the display percentage reaches zero. Under full CPU plus display load the voltage cliff arrives faster than the gauge predicts. Run two to three full discharge-recharge cycles and the fuel gauge IC will recalibrate against the new cell — shutdowns should stop occurring above 5% after that.

Frequently Asked Questions
My PT314-51S BIOS shows the new battery as 0% health — is the cell faulty?
It is not a faulty cell. The Triton 300 SE BIOS reads accumulated cycle data from the old cell's EEPROM; a fresh replacement has no history, so the firmware interprets that as poor health. Run one full discharge to hibernate cutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100% to start the battery learn cycle. The health reading corrects itself within two to three cycles as the BIOS builds new reference data.
Windows is showing the wrong Wh rating in system info after I fitted the new cell — it says 56Wh, not 59.6Wh.
The Wh figure Windows displays is pulled from the EEPROM-stored rated value on the cell, which can differ slightly from the actual electrochemical capacity of the new chemistry. This is a reporting difference between the stored nominal rating and the real delivered energy — not a sign of a wrong or underspecified cell. The cell we supply is 59.6Wh. Complete two full calibration cycles and Windows will update the last full charge figure to reflect actual measured capacity rather than the EEPROM nominal.
Charge stops at 80% and will not go higher — is this a charger problem or a battery fault?
Neither. The PT314-51S ships with a BIOS-level charge limit that caps charging at 80% to reduce cell stress during long plugged-in sessions. Check Acer's Care Center software or the BIOS power settings for "Battery Health Mode" or "Charge Limit" — it is enabled by default on many units. Disable that setting, save, and reboot. The cell will then charge to 100%.
