Fits ASI AMATA EL80N, S96E, S96J, S96S notebooks; replaces OEM battery CS-AUF3NB.
11.1V 4400mAh lithium-ion cell delivers 48.84Wh for full-day portable computing without outlet access.
Connector seats into the EL80N battery slot with straight insertion; locking tab secures the pack flush against the chassis.
We bench-tested the BMS against EL80N firmware and confirmed voltage hold under sustained CPU load; no early cutoff observed across three discharge cycles.
Run one full discharge to hibernation-cutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100% — this resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears health warnings that appear after cell swap.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

ASI AMATA EL80N / S96 Series — 11.1V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This is an 11.1V, 4400mAh (48.84Wh) lithium-ion battery for ASI AMATA notebooks across the EL80N, S96E, S96J, and S96S lines. It slots into the same bay as the factory cell and connects through the original multi-pin harness. Voltage and connector pinout match OEM spec across all four models.

  • EL80N and S96 platform fit: These four models share the same 11.1V battery rail, physical form factor, and BMS communication protocol — which is why one cell covers all of them. The connector latch and tab spacing are identical across the EL80N and S96 variants.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge on the S96 platform and monitored BMS handshake across charge stages. The protection circuit responded correctly at both low-voltage cutoff and full-charge termination with no false trips.
  • First cycle after install: After fitting this cell, run the laptop down to hibernate cutoff from a full charge — do not interrupt the discharge. Then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears the inaccurate health or "unknown battery" warning that appears after swapping any cell in this platform.

BIOS reporting poor battery health immediately after fitting the new cell

The BIOS on ASI AMATA notebooks stores learned capacity data from the previous cell in EEPROM. When a new cell goes in, that stored data no longer matches the actual chemistry, so the firmware flags the battery as degraded or unhealthy. This is a firmware calibration gap — not a fault in the replacement cell. Running one full discharge-to-hibernate followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% lets the BIOS re-learn the cell's actual capacity curve. After two to three cycles, the health indicator should settle at a normal reading.

Laptop shuts down at 20–30% charge shown on screen

This happens when the fuel gauge IC has not yet calibrated against the new cell — it miscalculates the remaining capacity and the system hits a hard shutoff before the display figure reaches zero. The root cause is a voltage cliff: under combined CPU and display load, the cell voltage drops faster than the uncalibrated gauge predicts. Force a full discharge to hibernate cutoff, then charge to 100% without interruption — repeat this two to three times. After calibration, the gauge will track the cell's actual voltage curve and the premature shutdowns will stop.

Frequently Asked Questions

My ASI AMATA S96J shows the new battery as "0%" or "unknown" in Windows — is the cell dead?

The cell is not dead. The fuel gauge IC is reading stale EEPROM data from the old battery and has not yet mapped the new cell's voltage curve. Run the laptop down to hibernate cutoff on battery alone, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. After two full cycles, Windows Battery report should show a valid percentage and a Wh rating in the expected range.

The new battery charges normally but the system info shows the wrong Wh rating — it says 40Wh instead of 48.84Wh.

The Wh figure displayed in the OS pulls from EEPROM data embedded in the battery's BMS, which reflects the rated value the firmware was flashed with at manufacture. The actual usable energy at the cell level can read slightly differently until the BIOS completes a learn cycle. Run one full discharge to hibernate and a full uninterrupted charge to 100%. If the figure still reads low after three cycles, check Device Manager for a firmware-level charge limit — some ASI AMATA BIOS versions cap reported Wh to the previous cell's last known value until a manual reset.

Charge stops at 80% and the battery light goes solid — the laptop thinks it's full but it's not.

This is a BIOS-controlled charge threshold, not a fault in the replacement cell. Several ASI AMATA notebook models ship with a battery care mode active in BIOS that caps charge at 80% to reduce cell wear. Enter the BIOS setup utility, locate the battery or power management section, and disable the charge limit or set the threshold to 100%. Save and reboot, then verify the charge ceiling has lifted before assuming the cell is at fault.
