Fits Clevo 66, 82, 82H, and 86 notebooks; replaces OEM part numbers DR202, EMC36, ME202BB, NL2020, and SMP02 directly.
10.8V 6600mAh lithium-ion cell delivers 71.28Wh — enough capacity for full workday use on these thin-and-light portable systems.
Connector slides into the rear battery bay with keyed plastic alignment posts; locking tab secures flush against the chassis frame.
We tested discharge under sustained CPU load with display active; BMS held voltage stable through 80% before normal tapering occurred.
After installation, run one full discharge to hibernation cutoff then charge uninterrupted to 100% — this resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears inaccurate health warnings that appear after every cell swap.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Clevo 66 / 82 / 86 Series — 10.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery (DR202 / ME202BB)

This is a 10.8V, 6600mAh (71.28Wh) Li-ion replacement battery for Clevo notebook computers. It fits the 66, 82, 82H, and 86 series, along with nine additional compatible models. It restores power to systems where the original cell has degraded or failed entirely.

  • Clevo 66 / 82 / 86 platform fit: These models share the same voltage rail, physical connector, and BMS handshake protocol. OEM part numbers DR202, EMC36, ME202BB, NL2020, and SMP02 are cross-references for the same cell specification across this platform range.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through full charge and discharge cycles on compatible hardware. The BMS communicated correctly with the system, charge termination triggered at the expected voltage ceiling, and the cell held capacity through repeated cycles without fault codes.
  • First-cycle calibration after install: After fitting this battery, run the laptop from full charge down to automatic hibernate cutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100% without interruption. This resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears the inaccurate health warning that commonly appears after any cell swap on this platform.

BIOS reporting poor battery health immediately after installing a new cell

Clevo notebooks store battery health data in EEPROM on the old cell. When a new cell goes in, the BIOS compares live readings against stale EEPROM values and flags a mismatch as poor health. This is a data conflict, not a fault with the replacement cell. Running one full discharge-to-hibernate followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% forces the BIOS to rewrite the learn cycle against the new cell. After two to three calibration cycles, the health indicator should resolve to a normal state.

Laptop shuts down suddenly at 20–30% battery shown on screen

This is a voltage cliff symptom — the fuel gauge IC is reading state-of-charge from a calibration curve that no longer matches the new cell's chemistry profile. Under combined CPU and display load, the actual cell voltage drops faster than the fuel gauge predicts, and the system hits the low-voltage cutoff before the displayed percentage reaches zero. It is not a cell defect. Run two full discharge cycles to hibernate cutoff, charging fully between each one. After recalibration, the fuel gauge curve aligns to the new cell and the premature shutdowns stop.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Clevo notebook shows the battery as "unknown" or 0% right after I installed this new cell — is it dead?

The BIOS is reading stale EEPROM data from the old battery and cannot yet interpret the new cell. This is a data mismatch, not a failed battery. Run one full discharge to hibernate cutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100% to force a BIOS learn cycle rewrite. After that cycle completes, the system should recognise the cell correctly.

The Wh rating shown in my system info doesn't match the 71.28Wh listed for this battery — why is there a discrepancy?

System info pulls the Wh figure from the battery's EEPROM, which may report the OEM-rated value from the original cell's chemistry profile rather than the replacement cell's actual specification. The physical cell in this unit is rated at 71.28Wh at 10.8V and 6600mAh — those are the authoritative figures. The displayed value corrects itself after the BIOS completes a full battery learn cycle.

My Clevo laptop's charge stops at 80% and won't go higher — is this a fault with the replacement battery?

This is almost always a BIOS-controlled charge limit, not a cell fault. Many Clevo notebooks ship with a battery conservation mode enabled in the firmware that caps charging at 80% to reduce long-term cell stress. Check the power management settings in the BIOS setup menu or any pre-installed Clevo power utility. Disabling the charge limit or switching to full-charge mode will allow the cell to charge to 100%.
