Fits Dynabook Portege X30W-K-101 and 92 related ultraportables; replaces OEM battery PS0010UA1BRS.
15.4V, 3400mAh Li-Polymer cell delivers 52.36Wh to sustain full CPU and display load through mobile workdays.
Connector seats flush into the battery bay slot with a single locking tab on the left edge.
We ran charge cycles with the BIOS fuel gauge IC active; the BMS handshook on first insert and held voltage under sustained load.
On first boot after swap, run one full discharge to hibernation cutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100% — this resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears inaccurate health warnings.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Dynabook Portege X30W-K Series — 15.4V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (PS0010UA1BRS)

This 15.4V, 3400mAh (52.36Wh) Li-Polymer cell replaces the original battery in the Dynabook Portege X30W-K-101 and over 90 related X30W-K variants. It restores full-cycle charging to this ultraportable convertible notebook. Voltage, connector, and BMS signalling match the OEM spec PS0010UA1BRS.

  • X30W-K platform fit: All Portege X30W-K variants share the same 15.4V voltage rail, slim Li-Polymer form factor, and four-pin BMS connector. That common architecture is why one cell covers the full range from the -101 through to the -13H and beyond.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge, discharge, and wake-from-sleep cycles on an X30W-K unit. The BMS handshake completed without fault codes, and the charge controller accepted the full 52.36Wh capacity without interruption.
  • Post-swap calibration on the X30W-K: After installing, run one full discharge to hibernate-cutoff then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears the inaccurate health warning that appears after every cell swap on this platform.

BIOS reporting poor battery health immediately after fitting a new cell

The X30W-K BIOS stores charge history and health data in EEPROM on the original cell. When a new cell goes in, that EEPROM data is gone — the BIOS has no reference point and flags health as poor or unknown by default. This is not a fault with the replacement cell. Run a full discharge-to-hibernate then a full uninterrupted charge to 100% and the BIOS learn cycle will overwrite the stale data. After one complete cycle the health status should clear to normal.

Laptop shutting down at 20–30% charge shown on screen

This happens when the fuel gauge IC is still calibrated against the old, degraded cell and has not yet mapped the voltage curve of the new one. The displayed percentage does not match actual cell voltage — the laptop hits the hardware low-voltage cutoff while the OS still shows capacity remaining. The fix is two to three full discharge-to-hibernate and full-recharge cycles, which let the fuel gauge IC relearn the voltage-to-capacity curve. After calibration, shutdown should not occur above approximately 10.8V under load.

Frequently Asked Questions

Windows is showing the new battery as "0% available (plugged in, not charging)" — what's wrong?

The fuel gauge IC on the X30W-K needs at least one full cycle to recognise the new cell's chemistry. Shut the laptop down, disconnect the charger, hold the power button for 15 seconds to clear residual charge from the board, then reconnect the charger and boot. If the gauge still reads 0%, enter the BIOS, check that battery status shows voltage above 14V, and allow a full uninterrupted charge to 100% before drawing power from the battery.

System information shows the wrong Wh rating — 45Wh instead of 52.36Wh — after fitting this cell. Is the battery faulty?

The Wh value displayed in system info is pulled from EEPROM data written by the original OEM cell, not measured from the new cell in real time. The replacement cell carries the correct 52.36Wh capacity. Once the BIOS completes a full battery learn cycle — one full discharge to hibernate followed by a full charge to 100% — the reported figure will update to reflect the actual cell. No hardware fault is present.

Charge is stopping at 80% and will not go higher — is the battery at fault?

Not likely. The Dynabook BIOS on the X30W-K includes a charge limit setting that caps charging at 80% to reduce cell stress during daily desk use. Check Toshiba/Dynabook System Settings or the pre-installed eco utility and look for a "Battery Charge Mode" or "Eco Charge" option. Switch it to "Full Charge" mode, then plug in and allow a complete charge cycle. The ceiling will lift to 100% immediately.
