Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Machenike F117-B6 / F117-FP6R2 Series — 11.4V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (GK5CN-00-13-3S1P-0)
This is an 11.4V, 4000mAh (45.6Wh) lithium-polymer battery for the Machenike F117-B6 and related F117 series gaming laptops. It replaces OEM part numbers GK5CN-00-13-3S1P-0 and GK5CN-00-B-3S1P-0. Fit models include the F117-FP6R2, F117-B3, X8Ti, and 13 additional variants sharing the same cell format and connector pinout.
- F117 series compatibility: These models share a 3S1P cell configuration running an 11.4V nominal rail with a consistent BMS connector and charge handshake protocol. Swapping between F117 variants requires no firmware change — the BMS negotiates directly with the EC on first charge.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge on an F117-series board, confirming BMS communication, correct charge termination at 12.6V, and stable cutoff behaviour under simulated CPU plus display load conditions.
- Post-install calibration for the F117: After fitting, run the laptop on battery until it hibernates at low-voltage cutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears the inaccurate health warning the EC logs when it detects new cell EEPROM data.
BIOS reporting poor battery health immediately after swap on the F117
The F117's embedded controller reads health data from the EEPROM on the cell. A new cell ships with default EEPROM values the EC does not recognise as a match to its stored baseline, so it flags poor health on the first boot. This is an EC data mismatch, not a cell fault. Running one full discharge-to-hibernate followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% forces the EC to rewrite its baseline against the new cell. After that cycle, the health warning clears and the gauge reads accurately.
F117 shutting down abruptly at 20–30% charge shown
This happens when the cell voltage drops sharply under the combined load of the CPU boost state and the display backlight — a voltage cliff the fuel gauge IC fails to predict from a degraded or miscalibrated state. The OS reads state-of-charge from a fuel gauge model built on the old cell's discharge curve, so the percentage shown no longer matches actual cell voltage. Under peak draw, the cell hits the EC's hard undervoltage cutoff before the gauge reaches zero. Run one full calibration cycle as described above; the fuel gauge IC recalculates its model, and the gauge will track accurately down to cutoff from that point forward.

Frequently Asked Questions
The F117 shows the new battery as "Unknown" or 0% in Windows — is the cell faulty?
No. The Windows fuel gauge IC loses its calibration model when the cell is swapped, and until it runs a full cycle it has no data to estimate state-of-charge against the new cell's chemistry. Discharge the laptop on battery until it hibernates, then charge uninterrupted to 100% without using it during charge. After one complete cycle the gauge recalibrates and reads correctly.
System information shows the wrong Wh rating for this battery — it says something different from 45.6Wh.
The Wh figure Windows displays comes from the EEPROM embedded in the cell, which stores a rated design capacity. If the value shown differs from 45.6Wh, the EC is still reading the cached data from the old cell rather than the new one. Force a full BIOS battery learn cycle: discharge to hibernate cutoff, then charge to 100% uninterrupted. The EC rewrites its stored Wh baseline from the new cell's EEPROM data after that cycle completes.
The F117 charges to 80% then stops — is there a fault with the replacement cell?
This is almost always a BIOS-controlled charge limit, not a cell fault. Machenike's EC firmware includes a battery longevity mode that caps charge at 80% when enabled. Check the Machenike Control Center or BIOS power settings for a charge limit or "battery care" toggle and disable it. Once the limit is off, plug in and the cell will charge to 12.6V (100%) normally.
